    This is critical for keeping invoicing in order. Can believe that Xero neglected this issue for so long. Should be fixed ASAP.

    Hi team, we appreciate you continuing to share with us through this idea.

    We’re now in development of a related quote-based workflow: Where your business will be able to set a deposit on a quote, and when it’s accepted, Xero will automatically create the deposit invoice and gives the customer an online way to pay.

    Being open this feature will be triggered by an accepted quote; it doesn’t add a standalone proforma document or payments against a draft invoice.

    While this is only with a limited small group of users at the moment, we’ll keep you updated on wider rollout, which will come in the new year.
