Hi everyone, understand the difference between a description only line and what's being asked for in the idea here.
This isn't something we have planned at present.
We do want to highlight the existing option for anyone interested that could benefit from the option mentioned earlier in the conversation (thanks, Paco)
Currently, it is possible to 'description' only lines to an invoice (with no Qty or Price) where you can enter up to 4000 characters worth of detail that could help you signal a note within an invoice to your customer.
We will continue to assess ideas in the forum here and let you know if there are any changes surrounding this to share.

Thanks for your feedback here, Amanda. Being open this isn't something we have plans for at present but will begin to track interest from your idea.
Good to hear you're aware of the current option available. If there are any plans around expanding the Account Transactions report to surface this information we'll be sure to let you know here.

Hi everyone, appreciate the tractions on this idea.
It's clear that having key tax and compliance dates visible on the dashboard would make it much easier to plan ahead and ensure due dates are met. When those deadlines live outside of Xero, it can mean extra admin and more mental load than necessary.
I’ve moved this to Gaining Support so we can capture interest and share with the product team how valuable this added visibility would be.

Xero treats repeating bills as templates, not real future obligations. As a result, they don’t appear in Bills to Pay, aged payables, or short‑term cash‑flow views until the bill is actually created. This hides genuine recurring expenses and breaks basic planning questions like: “What are my projected expenses and will my cash cover them?”
The only safe workaround today is to ignore repeating bills and always keep the next instance entered as a normal bill, so it shows in reports and cash‑flow. That defeats the purpose of automation.
Please allow repeating bills to surface as projected obligations in cash‑flow tools and reports (e.g., an option to “include projected repeating bills” over the next 30/60/90 days). This keeps automation while providing the real‑world visibility businesses need for cash‑flow management. Thank you.
