Hey Rebecca, thanks for your engagement and for sharing this detailed suggestion about user permissions in Xero Projects.
We've reviewed your idea to allow users to view project profitability without needing the full admin user role, and it can now gain support from other community members. We understand the need for team members to keep track of a project's performance, and why granting full admin access isn't always suitable.
Along with votes, others can now comment to share additional detail about how this more granular user role would improve their project management and empower their teams. 🙂

Appreciate wanting a quick method for adding a project to a transaction when reconciling.
For the time being we're continuing to keep an eye on the interest for this here.

Thanks for your detailed feature request to introduce task categories and sub-tasks in Xero Projects.
We’ve reviewed your submission and have now moved it to the Gaining Support stage.
This means the idea is live on the forum for other members of the Xero community to add their votes and comments. Our team keeps an eye on the ideas in this stage and uses the number of votes and the shared use cases to gauge demand for new features.

After using tracking & Jobs for a while in our business to track expenses. We decided to upgrade to projects and I was very disappointed to learn I can not add an expense to a project from the reconcile screen. I would do this with ease before and assign to a job it seems in upgrading we have gone backwards in not having this feature. It makes it much more time consuming to have to go into every transaction and edit. Please make this change!
