Hi everyone, we appreciate the attention this idea has been getting. It's really good to hear how we can continue to improve the Homepage for our differing customers needs. We understand not all the widgets maybe useful to every user, and the 'Edit homepage' button will let you add or remove widgets to reduce what you see on the Homepage.

Taking on board feedback we're looking at the sizing of widgets and you'll find the 'Chart of Accounts' and 'Cash in and out' widgets are now smaller by default with an option to 'Make larger' - You can follow further updates for this on the idea here.

We have plans to dig deeper into possible 'view' options (like the different levels of views being asked here) in the new year and I'll share further updates here when this gets picked up. 🙂

Hi everyone, we appreciate and want to thank everyone for feedback on the responsiveness of the new Homepage. This has been shared back with our product teams as they continue to develop this experience.

At this stage, there are no plans to fix the number of columns when using the Homepage. However, our team will continue to monitor usage on this closely.

One recent change we’ve introduced is that the Homepage layout can be saved at each screen size.

For example, if you set up and save the Homepage layout for your laptop and then move to a larger monitor you’ll see this adapt. However, if you ‘edit’ the Homepage and save the layout separately from your monitor Xero will remember the layout for each screen size. You should only need to do this once for each screen you use.

We’re looking at enhancing the edit layout experience soon to…

Thanks for the continued support and feedback shared here, everyone. Totally appreciate wanting to save clicks and improve the efficiency of logging in to use Xero.

Our product team have reviewed this and it's something they'd like to take a closer look into longer term, however isn't roadmapped just yet.

As soon as there's any progress to update you of I will share with you all.

Back to Basics Edition. Forget the Flashy Gigits/Widgits/Ads All that is Wanted/Needed is what the Product Used to be 6 Years Ago. Since then the Price has Increase 50% and Productivity has Plummeted. Combined with All the Page Changes No Hotkey Support (Not Keyboard Friendly at all.
Even When you Sign in You Have to Physically Click in the MFA Box to Continue the Login Process. A Simple Programming Edit that Xero Appears to be Unable to Do.
Going Forward IF Xero Insists on not giving Users the Option to Retain the Basic Home Page. I Can Say Xero will definitely be Losing Me as a Customer along with all the Recommendations That I have been Giving.

Hi team, we have some updates to share. Before we dive into the details, we want to be clear that while we’re committed to monitoring, learning, and refining the Homepage, we don’t intend to return to the previous Dashboard style or its column-based widget layout.

A few months back, we rolled out several enhancements to the "Edit homepage" capability to give you better control over your layout, including:

    • Widgets that remain stationary until they are dropped into a new placement
    • A "shadow" preview showing exactly where a widget will be placed during drag-and-drop
    • Refined animations for a much smoother visual experience
    • Improved on-page guidance regarding how to save multiple layouts across different screen sizes

In addition to the existing size options for Chart of Accounts and Cash In and Out, our team is currently building smaller widget sizes for Invoices Owed to You, Bills to Pay, Chart of Account, Cash…

Very Simply Either, Either the Old Dashboard remains a Option or You Lose a Customer.

You Need to Understand the KISS Principal

    Keep It Simple STUPID.

Simple to Understand You Force Stupid Ideas to Someone that Doesn't Want It They Leave.

    So long, Farewell Goodbye.

Was a Great Simple Workable Product. Now is a Poor excuse of a Product with Change for the Sake of Change.

Hi everyone, appreciate the tractions on this idea.

It's clear that having key tax and compliance dates visible on the dashboard would make it much easier to plan ahead and ensure due dates are met. When those deadlines live outside of Xero, it can mean extra admin and more mental load than necessary.

I’ve moved this to Gaining Support so we can capture interest and share with the product team how valuable this added visibility would be.

Hi everyone, thanks again for sharing input on widget placement on the homepage.

As mentioned in our last update, once you Edit Homepage and Save the layout this will be saved for that screen size. If you change screens a prompt is also surfaced to explain that you may want to reset and save your layout.

While we don’t have plans to allow vertical stacking at this stage, we're improving the edit experience. This will make it easier to see how changing a widget's position shifts other items on your screen. I’ll let you know as soon as this is released.

Xero is Used for Work, Having Popups, Animations, Glary Icons & Not Asked for Features Appear is So Annoying and Productivity Negative Not Mentioning Slower Loading Time. Keyboards Usage apparently has gone out of the Window, If you are Limited in Using A Mouse Navigating is a Absolute Nightmare. This is where the WEB Applications has fallen in a Huge Hole. With a Local Program All Commands are available via a Hot Key. Xero is NOT Keyboard Friendly. Even to Logging In, The MFA Field has to Be Clicked in to Actually Use. This Is Irritating at the Least. (MYOB Has the right Idea with Both Web & Local Program Versions Available).

Hi everyone, we really appreciate your feedback and the growing support this idea has received. Our product teams have been taking on board all that our customers have shared back on the new Homepage and are currently working on improvements to the sizing of some of the widgets including the Invoices owed to you and Bills to pay widgets - The intention is to provide a smaller widget size in which drafts will be shown beside the chart instead of below, helping the visibility and ease of use as you're after here.

I'll be sure to round back and update you when this is delivered 🙂

Thank you to everyone that's joined and shared feedback on our new homepage experience, here. Continuing to review and take this on board our team are working on some updates to the Invoices owed to you and Bills to pay widgets.

The intention is to offer more flexibility in the size of these widgets with the ability to reduce and remove the graph from showing.

I'll come back to share more as this progresses.

Hi everyone, we know being able to have more control over widgets on your Homepage will improve our users experience and want to share a quick progress update on where things are at:

Currently the Cash In & Out and Chart of Accounts Watchlist widgets have toggle options for smaller and larger size options.

Right now, our product team is actively working on expanding and improving size optionality (rather than just the ‘larger’ ‘smaller’ selections) to more widgets - This will include the Invoices Owed to You, Bills to Pay, Chart of Account, Cash in and Out and Recent Invoice payments widgets. The approach we’re taking will give you additional size selections for these widgets, and more customisation of what’s shown within the widgets.

Understanding from feedback, that our customers are looking for even more flexibility beyond these size options, our team is continuing to explore further enhancements that'll be…
