Hi everyone, thanks for all your support and sharing how useful budgeting for Balance sheet accounts would be for your business.
We've launched new Analytics Budgets which is in early access and can be accessed from the Reports centre.
Though not in the first cut, balance sheet budgeting is planned, with intentions for you to be able to set a balance sheet budget and compare it with actuals in reports. We'll update you again as this work progresses to share more details.

- It makes no sense that one can't budget for balance sheet items.
- The purchase of assets and repayment of loans, etc., have to be budgeted for and reflected in the budget actual vs budget reports.Brian Tapson

Hi all, we appreciate you describing how notes could support reviews and board discussions. Budgets in Analytics that's currently in early access release provides event descriptions and a history of adjustments, adding context to changes made during planning.
However, currently it doesn’t provide a free-form note on each budget line or cell. This is something we'd like to continue tracking interest from our communiy in, here.

Hi all, thanks for calling out how much scrolling is involved when reviewing a full-year budget. The new Budgets experience provides a spreadsheet-style grid, inline editing, autosave and flexible start and end dates.
It’s a stronger foundation for working with budgets, although showing all 12 months and the total in one view isn’t something we've been able to work into this new experience, we’ll keep this feedback in view as the experience evolves.

Hi team, with Xero Analytics you can use the Business Health Scorecards to track your net profit against a KPI line.
You can choose a pre-built KPI, or create your own, and assign a target to track against that KPI.
If you'd like you can also, display this as a widget on your Analytics dashboards, to visually compare your KPI to the target line.
We appreciate those that have voted here are also looking for the ability to rack actual v budget and will continue to track the interest here and share further updates. Thanks

Also wondering if there has been any progress on this? Please could this project be escalated as a priority with Xero?
