Hi everyone, we appreciate interest from you all here in being able to adopt autosave into Quotes. Across the board there are mixed reviews from users that would, and those that would not like to see this enhancement across Xero features.
Right now, the current experience requires you to click Save on the quote before navigating to another screen in Xero.
We appreciate there are other contributing factors to the need here like session timeouts and internet connectivity.
Being upfront this isn't a feature we have roadmapped at this time, however our product teams are aware of the needs and interest of this here and will take this into consideration as they continue to plan the future of Quotes across Xero. If there are any plans to progress this we'll make sure to keep you all informed and updated through this idea. Thanks

Hey Dean thanks for bringing this Idea to us, we always appreciate our customers thoughts on how we can improve Xero! This Idea has been moved to Gaining Support so others can vote and comment on this. We also wanted to let you know that there is a work around for tis idea, you can create a draft quote with all the relevant details and use that as a base to 'copy to' to reduce the time spent filling out the same details. Don't forget to let you friends and colleagues know they can vote on this idea now 🙂.

Hi team, in the aim of transparency we have split this idea out from the original one here so we can get a better understanding of the interest for this change in each area of Xero.
Being quite different features within Xero it's not likely that a change in one would be reflected in the other area at the same time. We will continue to track interest in removing quotes from the all list here and share if there are any updates.

Hi community, to share another update to share around chasing customer invoice payments.
As you may have seen, we have work underway to help with getting paid without chasing.
The intention is that you'll have control of turning this on for your preferred contacts. JAX will create personalised follow-up plans based on each customer’s payment history, using the right channel, timing and tone to help get you paid.

Problem: Clients often forget to pay invoices on time and I have to chase them manually.
Solution: I would like Xero to automatically send a friendly reminder email 3 days before and 3 days after the due date.
Benefit: This would save me hours of admin and help me get paid faster without damaging client relationships.Ndzalama Maltin

Hi everyone, we appreciate your support here in making overdue invoice follow-ups easier and more efficient.
We'd like to share that work is currently underway where soon you'll be able to use JAX to automatically generate and execute follow-up plans for overdue invoices across all eligible contacts, which will help reduce manual chasing and create a more consistent process for getting paid.
You can tune into recent updates through the long and short of it on our website, and I'll update you all here when this feature lands.

Thanks everyone for your feedback here on customising SMS messages for invoices. We understand how a more personal message could provide customers with greater confidence and context when receiving an invoice.
Our product team has explored options for more customised messaging, including the practical constraints around character limits and preventing messages from being treated as spam.
After that review, we want to be transparent that editable SMS templates aren’t part of our plans at this stage.
If this position changes in the future, we'll be sure to share with you, here.

Hi everyone, thanks for all the engagement so far. We understand why having a custom email template for deposit could be useful.
The idea is to allow users to create or assign a separate email template for deposit invoices, so messaging and payment terms can be tailored to suit businesses.

Hi Susan, thanks for raising this here. Appreciate that there are certain fields which are required to process motor trade invoices. At the moment, the DOCX branding theme can be customised to show a few fields. However, we understand the need for custom fields so we'll open this idea up for the community to add their support.

This is an area that is continuing to gain support. The need for more flexibility, less manual admin, and better support for real-world billing arrangements is something we know matters to customers, and feedback like this helps reinforce that.

Hi everyone, thank you for supporting and sharing of your e-invoicing needs with us through Xero Product Ideas.
We appreciate those that have linked to our web page - I'd also like to confirm here that e-invoicing and VAT support for United Arab Emirates is currently in development working toward the ASP requirements.
We will keep you looped in on updates for this here, however want to confirm that we intend to have a solution available in the next few months.

Hey Team, thanks for sharing this idea but right now Xero doesn’t have a dedicated pro‑forma invoice document type in Quotes or Invoices. We are moving this to Gaining Support so others can Vote and Comment.
The main workaround is to use a Quote as your pro‑forma (with wording like “Pro‑forma invoice – not a tax invoice” in the template), then convert the quote to an invoice only once the amount is confirmed and you’re ready for it to hit your accounts.

This would be a game changer for small businesses. I lose so much time chasing payments manually. Automated reminders would help cash flow so much.
