Thanks so much for taking the time to share this idea with us 🌟. We really appreciate you explaining what you'd like to see here, and we can understand how having this available would make things easier.
We've now moved this idea into Gaining Support so other customers can vote on it and add their feedback too. This helps us better understand how many people this would help, the different ways it's being used, and the overall level of interest from the community.

Hi team, we'd like to provide another update as the two features we mentioned we were working on in our last update have now been released!
Fro the journal list and within the individual journal details view the Column option will allow you to choose which types of data are shown/hidden from the page, and you can drag and drop from the 6 dots to the left to re-order these as you choose.
Beneath these you'll also be able to toggle a Compact view on or of. When on this condenses information and reduces padding to allow you to see more information on the page.
Being open, this new experience will eventually replace the older one and we cannot continue to maintain both experiences in tandem indefinitely.
We'll continue to evaluate the feedback and support here - for example recent feedback on the Tracking columns is good to hear. I'll…

Thanks for everyone's feedback on the new manual journals experience here.
It's best if we track feedback on each suggestion separately so our product teams can consider the support, and we can best eep you updated of changes.
In the new experience where the option to show journal on a cash basis has been ticked you'll see the reference 'Appears on All reports' on the posted journal, alternatively where deselected this'll show as 'Appears on Accrual reports' - this replaces the previous notation of 'Accrual and cash' and 'Accrual only' - We'd like to understand if there is wider confusion and interest in the previous terminology and have updated the title of this idea to reflect this point so we can track this.

The journal page is way too big to look at. When editing the tax rate the options blend in with columns above and you cannot find the option easy

I prefer to use the original version of Returns than Tax Manager. It is way too complicated. Other offices do not mark off the returns as FIled therefore too many sit in the tabs. Someone could easily lodge another office return by mistake.
