Never felt so passionate about a change in all my years working with Xero... I'm sure you will make it right. We need to be able to see the full journal - no matter how many tracking options are running.

I agree! I need to see full description in some columns otherwise mistakes will occur. Please add this feature back for future updates. This change is ridiculous and will make entering manual journals very time consuming!

The new journals are unusable. There has been a column added which has stuffed up importing our journals from another system. This has not "improved workflow" for anyone judging by all the comments.

These journals are ridiculous - how on earth did the update that makes entering the journal more time consuming and annoying when there was previously nothing wrong with them become an 'improvement' - get your act together Xero - did you not get anyone to test these out first!! And the suggested workaround i got was to enter my journals in excel and import - wow!!

Was this 'update' tested by anyone who uses the manual journal entry screen? Having to scroll to be able to see all the columns without the ability to resize or hide columns is tedious. Please update so that the column fields can be adjusted!

Agree. I feel like Ive stepped back in time with this update. Are we doing a 'Benjamin Button' here folks. Dare I say I might have to check MYOB.

Agree with these comments, what an absolutely ridiculous "update". Not practical. And once again, creating more work for accountants instead of making workflow easier.

This "update" is diabolical. Please never remove the "switch to old" option!!! I hate this with the fury of a thousand toddlers who were short changed 1 chicken mcnugget in their happy meal.

Yes I agree, this is a terrible new layout, and not practical at all to complete repeating journals etc. You cannot see the account name properly. SO can cause errors very easily

The tracking field needs to be widened to display all characters in the field. It’s hard to read in full without clicking on the line to display what has been selected

This is almost unusable. As others have said it is very difficult to see narration and we need to EDIT this field to add a few characters of unique info for the various rows. When Xero significantly changed other pages we had the option to revert for a while as you fixed up unforeseen problems that users raised. Please do the same here.
Other significant impacting problems include not being able to change the column width. One example of why this is important -> More screen real estate could be given in a particular journal for the fields that really change in that journal instead of lots of white space around other fields that might be shorter, known, setup with smart text choices (e.g for me tracking code & tax rate).
Please reinstate old version while you return the functionality we use and need. It will become very costly for business if we have to adopt an additional work practice like copy narration into word/excel for editing and copy back each line. Yours in good faith.

I agree!!! The new journal format sucks!! The description column is so narrow I can't see the wording...narrow up the other columns please...tax rate and tax amount columns way too wide - who cares about those...

Since the journal page was updated, it's no longer possible to drag the columns horizontally. This makes it difficult to view all of the information within my tracking categories, as some of the details are no longer visible. Could this functionality be restored, or is there an alternative way to view the full details?
