  1. On bills awaiting payment and payment batches having a way to copy the amount that is not formatted so that it can be pasted directly into bank payment amount fields. At the moment the value is formatted with commas "1,200" which cannot be copied directly to a bank payment page.

    Hi team, appreciate it's been some time since this idea was initially raised. Returning and doing some testing in the current product this is now possible. Sorry we have not updated on this idea sooner.

    You'll find in both batch payment and within an individual bill payment you can copy and paste amounts. Currency symbols will be stripped but the formatting of the amount itself should be pasted.

  2. Ability to create historical payslips.

    Purpose: Users can easily create historical payslips prior to using Xero Payroll.

  3. WE NEED TO BE ABLE TO GET MONTHLY SALES TOTALS OF THE INDIVIDUEL PRODUCT ID CODES

    IS THERE CURRENTLY ANY WAY TO DO THIS
    WE HAVE THREE WAREHOUSE LOCATIONS PREFIXED WITH WAREHOUSES CODE AND 20 VARIATIONS OF PRODUCT IN SIZES AND TYPES AND WE NEED TO SEE EASILY WHAT IS SELLING MOST ETC IN EACH OF THOSE PRODUCT CODES

    HI team, returning to the idea here we will mark this as delivered. As noted in my last update - With the Inventory item Summary report you'll be able to filter to only select the items you're wanting to view and can add columns to view Opening & Closing Balance or Quantities, as well as those sold in the period the reports being run. 

    Alternatively, you could run the Receivable Invoice Detail report. This'll only include sales of items, and the report includes the Item Code column by default.

    You could also set the report up to Group by Item Code, so sales of each item are listed together, complete with totals for the date range.

  4. We enter bulk bills into the system and can only attached a copy of the invoice after authorised. To upload these signed invoices are time consuming having to open each bill and then drag or attached the copy invoice.

    It would save us so much time if these invoices could be attached directly to the bills in purchase overview instead of having to open every bill.

    Hi team, appreciate it's been a while since this was first raised here. Recently we released some changes to the list view of bills where you can now 'Quick view' your bills from the list view without having to open each individually.

    You'll find by clicking on the eye icon in the list it'll open up a side view of the bill where you can also add attachments 😊

  5. Payroll doesn't refresh data unless you scroll up and down inside an employees pay all the time
    Can you fix this ? Even if you had a button which you could hit to pull changes
    into pay amounts quicker
    It takes a long time waiting doing the payroll when putting in hours and different rates for each employee each week for the amounts to change and pull through properly

  6. It would be great if the Export button in Xero could export the chart of accounts to .csv such that the Type of account appears in the .csv file as it is displayed in Xero.

    Xero Support advises
    - that right now it’s not possible to export the chart of accounts with the account type exactly as it is in Xero; and
    - it doesn’t look like this idea has been raised as yet.

    You can now use the new export button on the Chart of Accounts page to export any HQ library chart templates. Both Xero and custom templates can be exported to .csv files. To find out more check out this Xero Central article!

    Hey all 😊 You can find a breakdown of NIC thresholds in the P11 report.

    This report shows the pay period YTD per employee as well a breakdown of the different NIC thresholds.

  8. There should be a way to input dates when we want to split the payment to multiple items (invoices/bills) when we reconcile (e.g. cash code or find and match).

    Right now, if I want to input multiple invoices/bills that is linked to a one payment, all invoices/bills will need to have same date as the payment date which is technically incorrect.

    Hi all, returning to the idea we're going to shift this across to delivered. As noted i my earlier response you can manually enter a payment amount and date of payment on an invoice or bill - Meaning if you need the payment date to differ to the date of the statement line imported this could be manually entered on the invoice or bill pre-hand and matched to the one payment when reconciling.

    Alternatively, when reconciling a transactions through find & match in Xero you have the option to 'split' where you can apply a set amount of the payment to the transaction rather than the full amount.

  9. The 'new' format has made it exceptionally tedious to accept payments and send receipts. PLEASE streamline it

    • Put the send receipt link back on the payment confirmation page
    • Allow easy tab/character type to select things
    • Open PDFs in browser with the print feature triggered like every other commerce website does. LESS CLICKS!

    Old Style.

    1) Approve the Invoice
    2) Click into payment section. Tab to select account (assuming current balance and date), tab to Reference to enter Check #, and click Add Payment
    3) Click 'Send Receipt' link to send an email invoice to customer (with additional upsell messaging)

    HI team, appreciate your feedback here however there are a few ideas in the one. There was a recent change that we've made for the first point here where you'll find confirmation and option to send receipt is now shown once you've added a payment to an invoice. 

    In relation to printing an invoice - from feedback we received the team have updated this flow so now a PDF of the invoice will be directly downloaded when you click Print, rather than having to go to a separate browser tab. If you'd like this to be a direct action to print from the invoice itself you can follow and join this idea.

    In relation to keyboard entry and tabbing through invoice fields, you can use Tab to move to the next field over and Enter will open the field so you can enter data. We have a larger idea

    Hi Laura, thanks for your feedback here. Appreciate you may have already been through the set up process yourself but our recent release of the Switching wizard in Payroll for the UK aims to improve this flow if you set up a new organisation. 

    We've introduced an experience that'll make it easier to transition from your current payroll provider to Xero Payroll, reducing errors and saving time.

    As part of the experience, you'll be able to import a Full Payment Summary(FPS) from your current software provider to Xero Payroll. You can get more understanding of how this works through our short video. 🙂

  11. Remove the automatic bank holidays been added, If you could add the days worked then it would work but it is adding bank holiday payments even if someone has left a week before.

    If the employee has a leave date prior to the bank holiday it will not be added automatically. Also you have the option to include or exclude the relevant bank holiday's for the employee in their employee file.

  12. Hi there, we have a suggestion that would help us a lot as we have a lot of tracking categories. Could Xero add a fixed top menu and side menu so that when we scroll up and down we can still see the tracking categories and also what it relates to. Basically freeze the left column with headings and freeze the top column with headings.

    Hi team, with no response we're going to guess this is within reports. If so, with Xero reports you'll find the top row and left column- are now 'sticky', so you can see the headings when scrolling beyond where they'd be displayed. 🙂

  13. When sending an invoice from a mobile device, remove the “send me a copy” button, or at least let us make a one time adjustment to stop having to turn it off every single time.

    Appreciate letting us know how we could improve your flow when working from the Xero Accounting app, Joshua. Our team have just released a change for iOS to align with the Android behaviour.

    Now, when you send an invoice or a quote, the 'Send me a copy' field will be unchecked by default.🙂

  14. To have a report for NET Sales for a month. Currently there is a report that only shows what's payable with VAT (not all sales are vatable) so, when trying to reconcile with the in-house ordering program it becomes a whole big xcel spreadsheet exercise...... takes to much time. the report also includes Prepayments which are not goods sold, but money transactions in advance

  15. When reconciling a transaction the default tax rate should be per the Supplier settings if set up in the Supplier. It is the Supplier who is GST registered or not. Currently a non GST registered Supplier may come up with NO GST, however if you change the account code you are posting the transaction to it will change the tax to be inclusive of GST if that expense would normally include GST. Supplier status should always override account code status, otherwise if not picked up and corrected leads to inaccurate GST returns.

    Hey community, 👋 thanks for all your support on this idea, I'm popping in to switch it across to delivered! We rolled out support for maintaining the suppliers default tax rate when the account code is changed 🎉

    If the account code changes, the default tax rate will not change unless the tax rate is not compatible with the new account code selected.

  16. The buttons linking to detailed reports from the project profitability tab don't go to the place they claim. They just take you to a blank report view. Very useless and pretty annoying.     Hi all, leading on from our last update we're going to move this idea to 'Delivered' with the change the team made to Projects in August last year (apologies for the late update here!) You'll now find that all the reports on the profitability tab take you to the report, filtered to the project you were on 🌟

  17. Not quite sure if this is applicable here, but it would be good if there was a newsletter of sorts to announce any new apps that is released on the Xero App Store. It'll be good if there was a update of sorts whenever a new integration for Xero was released, especially for clients who're still looking for the right app to sign up for.

  18. On the newly rolled out quote form, have the ability to change the default 'Send me a copy' when emailing the quote.
    Why would I want to send myself a copy when I have all my quotes available to me directly through Xero?!

    The 'send me a copy' field remembers the last setting used. So, if you untick this for one, it should default to unticked for the next one and following ✅ 

  19. It would be great if you could add a "New Item" when you first create a transaction. At the moment, you have to save and close the transaction, go back to it and "edit" then you can see +New Item at the top of the Item column. It would be a great improvement to workflow if you could do this straight away and if anyone like me has new items each week it would save some time. Thanks.

    Hi community, this is possible via the use of Lock Dates in the organisations  Financial Settings.

    You have two optional date settings:

    1. One date that applies to all users except Advisers
    2. A date that applies to All users, including Advisers

    These prevent the relevant users from adding or making changes before these dates.
