AU Payroll - Pay employees across multiple bank accounts
Employees have requested their net pay to be paid across more than four bank accounts, though this function is not available. Increasing the number of bank accounts would assist employees and those processing payroll.

Payroll - Add or edit breaks in timesheets
There is no functionality to retroactively add or edit break times into an employees submitted timesheet. It would be good to be able to edit or add a break time on the timesheet if they forget before approving it.

Payroll - Option to edit the Payroll dashboard
It would be helpful to edit the layout of the Overview payroll dashboard, as you can do with the normal Xero accounting dashboard.
I can't understand why the 'pay employees' widget is at the bottom, surely running payroll is the primary function so why isn't that at the top? Not all business use the leave and timesheet function, they should be considered secondary.

AU Payroll - Allocate annual leave, sick leave and superannuation to a Project/Job
Currently Xero does not assign annual leave and public holiday to a project/job as timesheet doesn't have this function.
Superannuation generates from payroll (pay run) , however, there is no place to allocate superannuation to different projects/jobs as well.2 votes -

Approve employee leave requests directly from notification email.
As a Leave Approver, I want to be approve or reject leave applications directly from the notification email so that I don't have to continually login.

Could a similar function that UK organsiations have to "deep archive" employees be rolled out to AU organsiations? This will assist to adhere to legal requirements of retaining employee records for 7 years.

AU Payroll - Add a separate lock date for payroll
AUSTRALIA PAYROLL - Can we PLEASE have a separate Lock Date for Payroll. I have had many incidents where I have prepared an Activity Statement ( PAYG), and the client reverts a pay run to draft, makes a change AFTER THE ENDOF MONTH AND IAS CREATION, and then we have to re-calculate and re-submit IAS for signature.
The lock date is unable to be added as the ACCOUNTS are still being reconciled, but the payroll is complete.
This will also be extremely helpful at EOFY.

NZ Payroll - Ability to display annual earnings on payslips
Apparently this functionality is enabled on the AU payroll system, but not NZ!
Essentially, it would be great if an employee's annual salary figure could be displayed on their payslips. Given that this is already an option within Xero Payroll for Australia, surely this is an easy addition for Xero Payroll for New Zealand.

UK Payroll - Option to backdate SMP after a pay increase
Allow users to change weekly SMP amount after a payrise to allow simple updates to extra SMP owing without having to delete all previous payruns back to the maternity leave start date.

NZ Payroll - Payslip notes
Could we have the ability to add the amount paid to a Deduction.
(A staff member messaged me the other day asking if the $450 showing on his pay slip was the amount he had left to pay for tools deductions or the amount he had paid. After checking I saw it was the amount he had paid and he has $468.93 left to pay.)
Q: Is there any way to add the amount he has left to pay for tools to the pay slip.

Timesheets AU - Allow employee's to add notes in 'Total hours worked' earning rate
Inside Xero Me, when you set your Timesheet type to "Start and end times" you can add notes for working days.
It would be great if we could add notes when we have our Timesheet type set to "Total hours worked".
As an employee, not being able to add a note & select an earning type is inconvenient and can cause confusion which leads to slower timesheet approvals

Payroll - Hide Leave Balances on payslip for selected employees
It would be good if you could hide leave balances on individual employee payslips. The hide/show leave balances on payslips is a global setting applying to all employees. We have a scenario where the employ moved from part time to casual. They had leave balances as a part time employee, but don't have them as a casual but the zero leave balances still appear on their payslip.

AU Payroll - Ability to generate timesheet report for hours paid vs hours submitted
We are wanting to create a report for timesheet information for hours worked submitted by employees, that have been reviewed by their managers, i.e. rejected and unapproved overtime worked. The timesheet report only lists the paid hours. We would like to know the hours submitted by employees on their timesheets, versus the hours that were eventually approved and paid for. Are we able to create a custom report for this, to work out unapproved (as revised by the approver) overtime hours per employee, for a specific time period. AU Payroll - More user-friendly Timesheet filters
The current screen and filters for Xero timesheet is not user-friendly. In particular, firstly, it would be great if the Employee Name filter allowed you to type and search. Secondly, if the Employee Name filter could include multiple names that would be useful.
Lastly, not in the filters, but the tick boxes for each timesheet - if the tick box was bigger and next to the line, instead of in the timesheet line this would help. The way it is at the moment, it is too easy to accidentally go into a timesheet instead of ticking it to select for…2 votes -
AU Payroll | Timesheet - Ability to add allowances
When operating tracking income and expenses in two areas, payroll allows for the primary tracking category when setting up the employee and the time sheet allows the secondary tracking option to be selected.
Currently the timesheet option only allows for the 'hours worked' to be allocated to the secondary tracking option. Any allowance can only be added at the pay run which means it cannot be added to the secondary tracking category.
Can we have the ability to add allowances as an option in the timesheet?

NZ Payroll - Report for current leave plus leave available to take in advance
A report that shows current annual leave hours, plus leave available to take in advance hours for each employee. It's very time consuming to have to calculate leave if you want to give an employee leave in advance. Using the "show leave available to take in advance" option in the employee set up tends to give the wrong balances on the employee payslip which leads to confusion.

Xero Me | Expenses - Add stops for Mileage Reimbursement
Add the ability to add stops to mileage reimbursement. This way a person can add a round trip or add stops between the round trip to collect all mileage for the 1 trip.
13 votesThanks for the idea and adding your interest here, everyone. In lieu of a direct feature to accommodate this atm, you may find duplicating the claim to record each part of a trip useful in cutting down the data entry. We'll let you know if there's any change planned here.

AU Payroll: Leave report with running balance
Be able to produce a payroll report for leave balances with a running balance. I want to be able to see all leave accrued, leave taken and the running balance in one report.
