  1. Ability to record an annual shutdown leave.

    Purpose: Ability for Payroll admins to easily record annual shutdown leave when they need to make a calculation around separating employee’s anniversary dates and start dates.

  2. The ability to mark customers to exclude from sending statements, or add more filters ( including customer groups) in statements page, which will help to find correct group of clients to send statements. This will simplify collections process.

While our primary business banking account transactions import automatically via a bank feed, the process of importing the transactions from our payment processors/gateways into their respective bank accounts in Xero are manual and add many hours of admin - there is already some integration with these gateways to support payments and this could be extended to include transactions flowing into Xero.

  5. Appologies in advance for my frustration.

    Are Xero considering providing a Gender Equity report in the future?
    I raised a case for our HR Dept last year and the answer from Xero was no.

    If any community member has any short cuts on gathering this info, please respond to this post.

    I am wasting so many hours trying to gather the required data from your available reports.

  6. We really need an option to account for back orders when invoicing. Other accounting software providers ie MYOB have this option. I was surprised to find there was no automatic option in Xero.

  7. Hi team

    We need Xero to be able to calculate tax correctly on part year returns for clients in Xero tax. Even though the date fields are available in your returns to show a part year, the tax is still calculated for a full year so the assessment from IRD differs from the return prepared in XPM.

    Currently the only option is to file via myIR which is really not good enough.

  8. I am trying to add a list of inventory items to a project quickly, to estimate cost, is there an easy way to upload an excel sheet with all the inventory items & quantities?

    I need to add multiple items like over 60 each with their own quantity... Can I upload a list? Instead of individual listing?

One of the most irritating features when using the Aged Receivables Detail report for Credit Control purposes (downloading to Excel and pasting into an email) is that when selecting the Date Range under Aging periods and the Invoice Date under Aging By, it continuously defaults back to the first option.

    Kindly allow the setting of a default to prevent the system from continuously defaulting back to the system setting.

  11. Currently a Xero customer can chose to include or exclude late claims in a GST Return. What most Xero customers don’t appreciate is if they chose no then the late claim adjustment vanishes until their accountant prepares the year end reports. This can leave a client vulnerable and oblivious to significant errors over the course of a year. In my opinion at the vary least if a client says no then the late claims should be progressed to the next GST period.   13. Previously, in old "Customer Invoice Report" there was a feature under "Dates" where we could select "ANY" which allowed Invoices created outside of your selected date range to be included in your report.
    This seems to be no longer available in the new "Receivable Invoice Report" and any invoices created outside of your selected date range (but paid within that date range) won't show up on the report.
    You can expand your date range but this has potential to re-list paid invoices from previous reports.
    Can "ANY' be added as an option to Dates as it was in previous version?

  15. Having the option to include a digital signature in the report templates, the ability to paste an image into the text section would suffice for this. Useful for the statement of disclaimer where the firm needs to sign off every report. Currently the only way to do this is by exporting the report to a PDF manager and pasting the signature in.

  16. When a Pay Template has been created for an employee, only the matching Earnings Rate should be overwritten by entries in Timesheets. Any other Earnings Rates that are set up in the Pay Template should still should still be available in the Payslip - they shouldn't have to be added back in again when processing the pay run. For instance, Fares & Travel Pattern Allowance needs to be paid over and above the Ordinary Hours recorded on the Timesheet.   17. Multi row edit UI on expenses.

    I recent moved from Expensify, I've lost about 4 hours of productivity each week having to manually open and update 100s of expenses each week.

    I’d like to be able to update categories and VAT status on many tickets at once, a simple list view UI with checkboxes on the left and the ability to update more then one row at a time would work well.

  20. Have automatic superannuation payments be able to be paid via credit card, through xero. Currently there seems to only be the ability to make automatic payment via direct debit but it would be good if it could be made by a credit card.
