We would find it extremely beneficial to see an audit trail of:
- who has logged in to a file (for an indefinite period, not just the last few logins)
- who has made changes to employees (eg their leave accruals, hourly rates, status, etc)This is a fundamental part of businesses that clients need to get right. It also helps provide quality control over data if the client (or accountant) can identify who has made changes and when.

Adding, deleting or changing general ledger accounts should be tracked audit item. This is fundamental to sound security practice.

It would be great if the history of users with regards to reports they generated can be seen.

History & Notes - Payroll
Ability to see audit trail for all changing of details in Payroll section specifically Employee bank account change in the first instance.
Purpose: So accountants and clients can identify who did what in Xero without asking all the users in the account.

We are looking at whether to move to Xero payroll and consider an audit report to show who has changed any employee details a critical part of any payroll system.

I need to be able to see who is changing settings that should not be changed.
Of course everyone denies it but there is no audit trail for me to check.
My concern is two pronged as at times i think data fields in for example invoices may suffer with mapping problems when Xero makes software changes. An audit trail would hold a light to the problem.
This is not a small problem, it really needs to be addressed.
Thank-you in advance Xero -

I particularly think the amount of time logged in on a client also helps with time billing queries from client.

Yes, I agree. We have it for transactions but not the reports. Currently anyone could 'mess' around with the reports particularly my custom reports, and I would have no idea what they have done, who did it, and when.
