History & Notes - Auto-Save functionality throughout Xero when creating Invoice
Ability to save the work by default when users’ creating a new invoice.
Purpose: Users’ will not have to re-create a new invoice when they suddenly logged out from Xero.
Hey community, thanks for sharing this idea!
When you're next entering an invoice, you might like to use New Invoicing, where the entries you make are automatically saved.
You can do this by clicking the 'Switch to new invoicing' option at the bottom of the page.

me too hours doing quote system error chrome shutdown reopened immediately everything gone. this is an online system must be possible. even a autosave setting with time selections available. some java code on your website would solve this easily I'm getting some written for my system to allow this anyone want copy (admin@precisionelectrix.co.nz) come on xero we pay for a service please come to the party and add to system thanks

I've experienced similar problems to others who have posted in this thread.
When I'm working on an invoice and leave it for xx?? minutes there is a glitch and something times out. It still lets me enter data but when I go to save/print/refresh it deletes everything I've just entered.

Just had a very large invoice that took most of the day to curate details. When I went to send it I had been logged out and refreshing the page caused it to revert to a version from several hours ago.
Please don't allow me to work on an invoice if I'm logged out if there's no way to save my changes. This doesn't make sense.

Maybe I'm doing something wrong but when I put a new client in the invoice it doesn't have allow me to put the address in too. I make out the invoice (sometimes very detailed) and then think... oh, I've forgotten the address... I then click on the client's name and it takes me to their contact. I then put their address in and... What! Where has the invoice gone! Start again!

2nd time now I have lost an invoice due to it not autosaving. Absolutely raging! The last one was a good hours work. I find it hard to believe that this is not a feature on supposedly world class accountancy software, its ridiculous. If this does not change soon I am moving back to Quickbooks.

Have had a few clients query an invoice when they are sent the previous months invoice due to Xero timing out on the repeating invoices.

Its a massive pain when you complete a invoice and for some reason its doesn't save
I moved from quick books and although I prefer xero . quick books did have a autosave feature.
Could this feature be added to xero
