Invoices: Repeating Invoices - Bulk Import/Export
Ability to import/export invoices in bulk.
Purpose: It’ll save users time rather than having to create each one individually.

Being able to download repeating invoices should be a standard feature - and not having this export function available is simply a huge oversight.

Margaret Ward commented
Please make this a feature as it is so needed especially when creating lots of invoices and being able to list them all in a report when needed.

This is just as important as the missing export function in the Bank Account "Bank statements" when wanting to find incorrectly imported bank transactions.

Agreed! This is a very basic function and don't understand why it hasn't in place after long discussion and compliant.

This would be super helpful to be able to import or export repeating invoices. Seems odd that it's been on this Product Ideas since 2014, and still not as an option.

Why has Xero not taken this very basic fundamental into account and actioned it?
Every year we undergo consuming job to go in and update each repeating template with the changes needed.
Its is crucial that Xero add the facility to export, update, then import back.
Come on Xero - please update as a matter of urgency!

My Financial Director just asked for this feature! Did not like that I have a separate spreadsheet for double-checking my preparation.

It's crazy that it can't export a list of recurring invoices. Can export most other things.

This is critical and will save time and reduce billing errors.

Frustrating that you can't see repeating invoices anywhere on the Contact screen in Xero.

If you can provide facility to create all the draft Invoices meant for Repeating transactions in a single click. It will provide an option to export those data as draft Invoices and import as the same.

Deanne Poole commented
Hard to believe this is not yet possible

Barbara Mundell commented
This is so important for us. We have pricing linked to the exchange rate that needs to be updated monthly.

This should absolutely be a feature. Twice in the last 12 months it would have saved many hours/days of time (for a company restructure requiring a new xero account, and more recently an acquisition of hundreds of repeating invoices).
-
Anschen Viljoen commented
Not just will it save time on creating the repeating invoice but save time when the item prices need to be updated since it does not automatically update! We have to spend hours in update each repeater every yearend when prices increase. Alternatively, a button to update item prices on selected repeating invoices.

This is also important when changing company structure. I am going from sole trader to company and ideally would have a fresh new Xero file, but would have to manually recreate 200 repeating invoices in the new Xero file...

Critical
If you cannot update repeating invoices by changing the price of a product code then this is the only other option.

We keep track of repeating invoice details on a spreadsheet. Before processing the monthly repeating invoices we compare them to check that all changes have been processed. This is a time consuming task as we can't export the repeating invoice summary for comparison, which we can only do with copying and pasting 200 entries max at a time, and then modifying the content on a spreadsheet, like removing the commas from amounts over 1000.
The export function would save a lot of time. -

Be able to create multiple and varying invoices on Xero for the same client
e.g.
April - Payroll plus Xero recharge
May - Payroll plus Xero recharge plus P11D
June - Payroll plus Xero recharge plus VATNo functionality for this at present seemingly - it's rather manual!
