Thanks everyone for your feedback on the invoice print option. We know how much our customers value efficient workflows, and appreciate you sharing your thoughts on how the current "Print PDF" button works.
For those of you looking for a smoother printing experience, a helpful workaround is to set your browser to automatically open PDFs in your preferred viewer after downloading. This can save you a few clicks in the process.
In the interest of transparency, a direct print PDF functionality that go through the download step isn't in our development plans.

Getting notified when an invoice is paid should be standard for small businesses, with the option of sending an automated receipt via SMS or email. I can't understand why it is not available all already.

Hi team, we've now extended sending invoices via SMS to customers in the US. This is a free feature for all paid plans in AU and US, and can be used in addition to, or as an alternative to sending an invoice via email.
See detail on how sending invoices via SMS works on Xero Central.
Again, at this time there is no way to automate SMS messaging via Invoice reminders. We'll update you if there is any word of this here.

Bring back the direct print PDF Button.
If I want to save it as a PDF, I can do it from my printer's print menu.
Or is the preview button a substitute for a direct print button?
