Organisation Settings - Add Registered office address separate to Postal & Physical addresses
Separate field between office address and postal & physical address.
Purpose: To make the administration process and setting up organisation details in Xero easier.

I solved this issue by adding the registered office address under the terms & payment advice text in the invoice settings (edit branding/invoice theme). Then uncheck the box 'show registered address' (which only shows again the postal address). Now it shows postal address and registered office address.
Maybe this works for you, too. -

Simple and fundemental commercial requirement. So many businesses will have a registered address at thier accountants with different trading & postal addresses.

I agree with you Susan and Natasha. And the fact we have had to try to find this (unsatisfactory) workaround isn't really acceptable.
I don't understand why Xero aren't prepared to take on board these comments - is it because they consider them to be administrative and therefore less important?

5 years later and this still hasn't been sorted out by Xero - our Registered address is to our new Company Owners.. but we keep our Postal and physical address.. so there is still no option to add the registered address and I don't get what the point is if it is a field that just takes from the postal address.
Looks like I will have to hard type it in til this is solved.

Listing the postal address as the registered address doesn't fix the problem if you don't have easy access to that address to collect mail that may then get sent their. I work for an international NGO. We are registered in UK but our head office and postal address is in Denmark. There needs to be another way we can add another address.

Hooray Donna, glad it worked for you.

Deborah Dare, thank you so very much. Your clear instructions (unlike Xero's) are so very much appreciated! It has worked. Thank you! :)

Hi, just in case anyone visits this because they are as stuck on this as I was:
Go to your username at the top left, settings, organisation details.
In the 'POSTAL ADDRESS' field - type in the registered office address.
In the 'PHYSICAL ADDRESS' field - type in your working office address.Tick include on both.
The Postal Address will show the registered office address at the bottom of the document. The physical address shows at the top right.
All the Product Team need to do is amend the 'POSTAL ADDRESS' name to show that this can also include registered office address.

I understand that there's a workaround with loading invoices. I get that, but I don't have time to set up an invoice template.
If this is something that is a legal obligation, surely Xero should know this too.

Having the registered office address on all official correspondence and invoices is a legal requirement

There is a work around, if you ask for help, you have to create a bespoke template for it to appear on your invoices & statements, I added it to the footer

My registered address is my accountant - 123 Blank Street.
My office address is 456 Office Avenue. It is ludicrous that this cannot be changed. It makes me look unprofessional when someone has looked me up on Companies' House to question now why my details are incorrect!
