Projects - Bulk upload of time entries for projects
Ability to upload time entries for projects in bulk.
Purpose: To save users’ time from manually entering the time entries and transitioning projects from different software.

This is an essential element if Xero Projects is to be considered as viable for organisations like ours.
We are a consulting firm with 20+ staff members. We need daily time entries with brief description of activities performed each day; need to be able to enter daily, or in bulk weekly, then able to print off the months timesheet as a one page format to accompany the monthly invoice (refer attached sample).

Projects time entries to look more like a timesheet entry. Being able to look at the week as a whole and enter time by project & task across the week for each user. We have users who don't enter payroll timesheets and would only need to enter time against projects. The current method for entering time in projects is clunky and time consuming.
If this can't be done then a bulk upload into the projects time entry is required.

This seems daft that it hasn't already been provided. We use a time logging system similar to Trello, the promoted app, but we won't be switching to Trello. A generic upload/API should be available. The time logging within xero is not developed enough to replace what we have.

Every time I get an email with my ideas, I think, why am I with Xero?
Xero stands for zero innovation. Use the tool at your displeasure

Absolutely Critical!!! I need it yesterday!

I paid for Xero Projects expecting that the timesheet entry field would link to projects but it doesn't. This would be a great feature as it would link two existing things Xero already has. It would allow staff to allocate their time to various projects when they input their timesheets. I will have to use tracking categories instead and stop my Xero Projects subscription.

This critical to workflow - not having this leads to duplicate effort and makes Projects useless for us.

the break of functionality between the upload of time entries from Float to Xero has really made a mess of our workflow and made the projects reporting pointless. Really disappointed!

TImesheets and Time entries into projects need to work together. Everyone is essentially putting their time in twice which is double handling and annoying.
Different parts of Xero need to work more congruently. -

Being able to enter time to a list of selected projects over a week (columns for each day), would make Xero Projects much more usable.

I agree. This is a critical functionality.

Fully agree - either an excel/csv load or better still a more user friendly interface where you have projects down the side (perhaps having picked a selection from a total list of projects) and time (perhaps a week) across the top and the user can enter hours in a table format and submit....

I second this, I've just started to work with Projects and this appears to be a big time sink that could be resolved with a CSV import, as in other areas of Xero.

We have lots of projects a year over 50 - I would like to see a bulk upload for projects, its very repetitive exercise, time consuming and prone to errors

This should be across the board ability to import from csv/excel for all data, for us importing quotes and material parts would be a major benefit for us.

Being able to upload timesheets from Excel into either Xero or Workflowmax would make a huge difference to our sub-contractors.
