Currently trying to figure out how to easily consolidate and perform bookkeeping for two subsidiaries in China into our group of companies on Xero.
The lack of a major language like Mandarin (or any other language) seems like it is hamstringing Xero's market, especially when it is by far the best Multi-currency accounting software I've come across.
This should definitely be a priority.

Being able to send invoices to other countries in both English and Mandarin or Myanmar would be perfect.
This is a great idea.. it really helps to build a larger Xero user community in countries where English is not their first language.
Now Myanmar, we cannot use sale invoice sending PDF and print invoice in PDF and even we cannot export sale listing in CSV cos Myanmar language cannot be displayed properly in PDF. -

Very important to enable organisations who's orientation and focus is around the use and promotion of indigenous languages-especially in Aotearoa where Te Reo Māori is a nationally recognised language of our country. It will be timely for Xero to join this waka and engage in an indigenous speacilist that are specialist in their fields to assist with initiative.

Te Reo Māori is an official language of Aotearoa- New Zealand.
Xero should be able to recognise the correct spelling of all Māori place names and Māori business names. Some fields in Xero recognise the macrons above long vowels but not in every field. If the long vowels: ā ē ī ō ū (with those macrons) could be added to the language base then this should help and give the respect to the correct spelling (and pronunciation) of these names.

This is a very basic requirement which the community has been asking Xero to "develop" for years now.
I dont even want to call it develop since there is nothing to develop
All that the development team has to do is to allow the input of foreign characters.
Any most primitive text processing software can do that and Xero does not care despite a strong demand for such a basic feature.
Most of our suppliers are in China, if I do not place the purchase order using the correct company name the entire order becomes legally invalid.
It is highly disappointing that after all this time people kept asing for this feature Xero has not beeen able to deliver! -
