Reporting - Ability to have the chosen font size on PDF exports for draft reports
The font size for Xero reports has increased - great - much easier for clients to read their annual accounts. However, when Exporting to PDF from the Draft reports, it previews it in the default size, which is often the wrong size. In order to preview the reports as they will print, you have to publish the report, note where you need to move/add page breaks, then delete the published report and go back into the draft report to make those layout changes. This adds an extra 5 minutes or so on to every job which is not necessary.
Solution - have the chosen font size on PDF exports for draft reports.
Thanks for the support and interest in this change, everyone. While it may not be obvious, for Xero Partners or staff connected to a Practice there's an option to adjust and change the font size of your reports by selecting 'Styled PDF' when exporting new reports from Xero - Detail here will help in setting & managing your Report Styles.
If not already you use Advisor Connect to find a Xero Partner that can meet your business needs.

If I am looking at account transactions and decide to export the transactions to excel rather than PDF (which I use a lot to reconcile transactions within a ledger ) the font is varied in size and needs a lot of adjusting each time to make is readable, especially if passing on to someone. This is time consuming. Could you look into this?

I hear you - and the font size at 8 is too small so that has to be adjusted to 10 and then all the rows and columns have to be resized to accommodate that. Very frustrating!

The new style Xero reports default to export to Excel with no gridlines and being zoomed in at 150%.
Although this can be resolved quickly, it's quite annoying to have to manually do this with every exported report.
It would be good if automatically, this export could contain the default Excel settings of 100% zoom and with gridlines on.
