AU Payroll - Historical Payslip Report (bulk download)
Create a report to show all payslips for an employee for a given time period. Currently these have to be downloaded one by one.
Hey community, 👋 thanks for all your support on this idea, I’m pleased to let you know that this has been delivered for UK Payroll initially! It includes the ability to select the date range you’re interested in, and check boxes to either select all results or multiple. Then you can download your selection as a single PDF of multiple payslips.
For users in AU and NZ we know this is a highly anticipated feature, however to be open this is not any immediate plans for those teams so we’ll leave this idea open. While we appreciate it doesn’t help employers needing bulk downloads, employees can be invited into the Xero Me portal to self-serve payslip collection.

It isn't always the employee asking for pay slips. We have third party requests at times, and this is very time consuming and so easy to miss a pay slip during the process.

I need to download 52 individual payslips for a WorkCover claim - this is not ideal + time consuming.
This would be a really beneficial feature.
Please seriously consider adding this feature, as it seems that users are asking for it to be introduced.
This feature may not be "Beautiful", but it is clearly needed. -

This is a disappointing response. When employing apprentices and reporting on their wages so small business can receive grant funding - payslips need to be provided. It is a time consuming process to download each payslip one at a time. MYOB allow a user to print a report with all the payslips for a period and it includes the business name and ABN, that can be used when doing this reporting. it is far superior in this instance.

Response above is disappointing given this is a repeated request. Perhaps more "building on practical" than "building on beautiful" would be better.

Seriously? This function hasn't been added already despite this topic has been there for over a year? What are you doing Xero team?

Would be great to have this ability. But in the meantime for Apprentices, I've been running a Payroll Activity Summary report, then just the first 1or 2 payslips and the last 1or2 payslips for the period and then a Payroll Activity Detailed Report for the same period.
I've merged these documents as one PDF and uploaded in claims with ADMS, and they have been accepted/Approved with no problem. -

The download of multiple payslips are not just for the employee's benefit. For example. we (employer) need to show Apprentice Organisations an employee's pay history for certain periods and they require information including the pay period as well as the pay date. This is only shown on the payslip & downloading one at a time is a huge waste of time. Either we need to be able to bulk download payslips or the pay period needs to show on one of the other payroll reports.

This would be a really beneficial feature. Hope it is reviewed soon as downloading 52 weeks payslips for a work cover claim is not ideal.

This is so surprising that I cannot do this, I have to generate 6 years of payslips for 1 employee, do I seriously have to do 1 at a time?

They don’t even bother to respond 😞

I cannot believe this is not fixed, such a basic requirement!! We've been asking for it for years!!

Having just downloaded 70 individual payslips, opened each one to note the pay week dates, and note the amount to upload and report for the ADMS I cannot again reiterate my frustration with the absence of this feature.

Crazy how just today we receive another price increase from Xero yet they are still to deliver on something as simple as this

Why is this not a standard feature already? A little behind the times in my opinion.

For anyone needing to upload multiple pay periods for ADMS to claim Apprenticeship rebates - my work around has been accepted by ADMS. Download a Payroll Activity Summary for the individual employee for the period in question (ie 01 Jan - 31 Mar 2023) and a Payroll Activity Detail for the same. In Adobe, you can combine the two files and reorganise the pages so the summary is the first (and second page) followed by the detail pages. Attached the combined file to your claim. I did 12 claims in an hour and they have all been approved. Just make sure all the pages have your legal name, trading name and ABN.

This is actually such a crucial need that it's creating questions on whether or not Xero is actually the best accounting platform for us.
It's unfathomable that this isn't a readily available feature as it's so OBVIOUSLY needed for work cover, worksafe etc.
The fact this has been requested for this long and still isn't available is an indication of Xero's willingness to listen to their customers. Every other platform has this because it's a crucial, neccesity, very basic function. Why bother making what's there "prettier" when what's there doesn't even cover basic functions. -

Need this immediately. Absurd this hasn't been added yet.

This requirement is not needed at an employee self-serve level. It is common for employers need to be able to export long periods of payslips for Workers comp reporting. We often get asked to assist clients with this due to how cumbersome it is and clients are often surprised Xero do not have a solution for it.

The fastest way to do it ... which is still not fast enough ... is to go into the employee, go to their payslip tab and download each payslip. Then grab them all from the download file and drag to your email. GRRRRRR. Your pushing shite uphill if you expect anything more from the "Building on Beautiful" team. Their too busy rolling it in glitter.
