Project - Import manual journal into Project

I am needing to import my payroll expenses from another payroll platform in the form of a manual journal. I need those payroll expenses to be tracked by project. It would be handy to be able to have a column for projects instead of a tracking category.

    This is a clear function which needs adding. Very disappointed this isn't functionality. :(

    Being able to post values to projects from journals is essential in a project based company. Without this facility Xero Projects is very much an incomplete offering and woefully inadequate!
    Please prioritise this within your development of the product.

    I would also say that the assignation of costs to projects, from supplier invoices, is unduly clunky. A drop down box of projects at line level would be far simpler.
    The assignation should also be available at purchase order stage in the process as often the person responsible for ordering is not the person processing the invoice! Cost allocation should be at PO stage so that this is communicated through to billing stage.

    I am quite disappointed that Xero does not have this already in place. This should have been required before charging for Projects in Xero as it is critically needed.

    I currently use tracking category as the project code so would want this as an additional column not an instead off!!

    A column in the journal to be able to add the line to a project would be really useful. We allocate internal journals and have to manually add these in to projects so it would be really helpful to be able to do this from the journal.
