Account Transaction report - Add Quantities & Unit Price to Column Drop Down
It would be incredibly helpful if 'Quantities' & ' Unit Price' were included as column options in the Account Transactions report.
This way one can quickly review the quantity & price of each entry without having to drill down into each individual entry. It would also provide a total quantity and average unit price for the given period.
The example that I am referring to is on a farm business where we would like to review the tonnes of crop sold and the price.

Literally changed to a fuel card to track litres easily in xero without looking at receipts, only to get to eofy and not be able to view quantity on a report!!! fml.

Hi Amelia, I raised a new ticket for the same thing and it just got added/merged to this one as a comment.

I am going to raise a case for this, perhaps everyone who wants this to happen can do the same to help push this to the top of the list! Ridiculous that we cannot run a report that includes all sales and purchase whether via invoices, bills, spend/receive money with item number, quantity and unit price.

Please oh please add this. Carbon Accounting reporting is now also relying on this data!

The original idea dates back to 2022!! And still no solution from Xero? What's going on - why is this so difficult?

Add the quantity field as one that is reportable in all of the available reports alongside description etc to enable the tracking of how many litres of diesel purchased when account is reconciled. The accountant is having to manually open every transaction to see the amount of litres used to determine fuel tax credit. To combat that, when reconciling, I changed the 1 qty of dollar value to the qty of litres and the cost per litre so that they could easily report, without manipulation, how many litres of diesel have been used. Although there are many fields that would seem to add no value in a lot of cases, the quantity field is not reportable. Could this please be turned on. All suggestions provided by Xero support were work arounds that would increase processing time greatly and seems unnecessary when the field is there with the data we need, just not selectable when running any report.

Feature Request – Add Quantity Column to Account Transactions Report
Hi Xero Team,
Please consider adding the option to include a Quantity column in the Account Transactions report.
This has been a long-standing issue for many users — especially those needing to track fuel quantities for tax credit claims. Entering quantities in description fields or setting up fake inventory items is not a sustainable or logical workaround.
The quantity field already exists in the transaction — we simply need the option to include it in the report.
Please count this as a vote in support of this much-needed improvement.
This is a basic feature needed for compliance and accurate record-keeping — especially for things like Fuel Tax Credits. Please treat this as a serious request for improvement.

Please add these colums to the report options. This is essential for drawing down reporting information from our bills.

Xero - we've got an AI bot!
Users - can you display quantities on a transaction report? -

We have received requests from numerous clients on this feature and currently requires manual work that is very time consuming. Kindly add the two columns it cannot be a difficult upgrade with a massive benefit for users.

all the data is there can't be that hard. It's unbelievable that quantities cannot be reported on transaction reports.

How is this not an option?! There's a quantity box in every invoice and bill yet no option to show quantities in a simple transaction report? Please add this feature, so simple yet so helpful...

Very important need for ATO fuel tax credit calculations

This is a basic feature that all other accounting software programs make avaliable, except Xero! This is needed ASAP, especially to extract litres of fuel purchased for ATO Fuel Tax Credits calculations.
Why have a data entry field called QTY when you cannot generate a single report out of Xero to extract that data??KELLY MUNROW please give us Xero's response

This seems like very basic information to not be able to add to the report - quite shocked that this is not available when it is added to each transaction

This is essential information for farm businesses - I don't understand why it can't be available.

This used to be available within this report as I had a custom report built for this but someone, somewhere within Xero has removed the option to add quantities & unit price to the Account Transaction report. What is the point of giving the ability to post bills/invoices using quantity & unit price if you can't then report on how much of a particular item you have purchased. We are trying to extract information for a UK Government funded Carbon Audit for farming clients and now have to resort to drilling into each transaction to find out the quantities purchased of fertiliser and fuel. This should be a standard means of reporting for non-service industry clients who don't function in the same way as e.g. plumbers merchants and the like.

FYI for all commenters - Quantity information can be added on the receivable (or payable) invoice detail report, doesn't allow for journal transactions etc, but goes some way to be able to get information out of xero that has been put in!
