Account Transaction report - Add Quantities & Unit Price to Column Drop Down
It would be incredibly helpful if 'Quantities' & ' Unit Price' were included as column options in the Account Transactions report.
This way one can quickly review the quantity & price of each entry without having to drill down into each individual entry. It would also provide a total quantity and average unit price for the given period.
The example that I am referring to is on a farm business where we would like to review the tonnes of crop sold and the price.

With all the new design reports - I would think this would have been on the agenda to include????

"At present, there isn't functionality in Xero to add the quantity from your receive money transactions to the report."
It would be great if this could be fixed up as well.

Yes would be helpful for calculating litres for the fuel tax credit and livestock numbers

+1 all the data is there can't be that hard. It's unbelievable that quantities cannot be reported on transaction reports.
Hannah Gillespie commented
All the data is there - cant be hard!

When capturing fuel, this report could assist with FTC and litres of fuel purchased.

The suggested solution of Payable Invoice Detail report doesn't take into account both cash and accrual basis. Not all fuel transactions will be entered through bills if they aren't on account, and therefore spend money transactions are missed on the above report.
Trucking businesses with hundreds of thousands of dollars in fuel each quarter with a hundreds of transactions for fuel find it very difficult to calculate their FTC accurately and efficiently.
As previously mentioned, also for livestock calulations.

really important in assisting in fuel tax credit calculations & livestock

So crucial to have this added onto the Account transaction report or the Detailed Account Transaction report. Otherwise what's the whole point of entering quantities in invoices and when reconciling when it's not going to be shown in any reports.
Kim Jackson commented
Every other program I have worked with has this function. Definitely also needed to track fuel litres for trucking companies as well

Include the quantity option from an invoice in the optional columns in account transactions.
We act for lots of farming clients that we reconcile the crops sold to the valuations but can't select the sales invoice quantity figure in the account transactions report so have to rely on the client entering it in the narrative.

As able to enter quantities when entering a Spend or Receive money transaction, would like to be able to report on these Quantities in the Account Transactions report.
Also, be able to report on the Quantities entered in the Invoices / Bills in the Account Transactions report - only currently able to report on these Quantities through the Receivable/Payable Invoice Detail reports.

As Jamie said, referencing physical quantities is very important for advisors. We aren't asking for a full-blown inventory system, just that the account transaction displays a field that is mandatory for us to enter when creating bills/reconciling bank accounts.

This would make my life so much easier. Please Xero!!!

Fundamental need for farming users, quantities for livestock, arable sales per harvest to check stock and be able to efficiently forecast. Workaround suggested of using non tracked inventories is such a hassle seeing as the quantities are already entered in the invoice or bill.
Michelle Weal commented
We have a number of farmers who really need this functionality, particularly when we are trying to convince them to switch over from farm-specific programs that auto-calc fuel tax credits, or from MYOB which already has this functionality for fuel & for livestock! We have had to improvise by having clients enter the litres to the reference box instead - not ideal but will do for now.
Paul Howlett commented
I'm surprised this still isn't a thing in Xero, considering MYOB has managed to implement it in their Essentials cloud product.
Sarah Mackie commented
Absolutely need this feature! For fuel litres as mentioned by Andrew, and livestock, plus a range of other client specific needs. Xero, please add this feature.

Have been asking for the quantities to show on general ledger or similar for at least 8 years now. Hopefully this will be included in the planned new general ledger.
