Account Transaction report - Add Quantities & Unit Price to Column Drop Down
It would be incredibly helpful if 'Quantities' & ' Unit Price' were included as column options in the Account Transactions report.
This way one can quickly review the quantity & price of each entry without having to drill down into each individual entry. It would also provide a total quantity and average unit price for the given period.
The example that I am referring to is on a farm business where we would like to review the tonnes of crop sold and the price.

This seems like very basic information to not be able to add to the report - quite shocked that this is not available when it is added to each transaction

This is essential information for farm businesses - I don't understand why it can't be available.

This used to be available within this report as I had a custom report built for this but someone, somewhere within Xero has removed the option to add quantities & unit price to the Account Transaction report. What is the point of giving the ability to post bills/invoices using quantity & unit price if you can't then report on how much of a particular item you have purchased. We are trying to extract information for a UK Government funded Carbon Audit for farming clients and now have to resort to drilling into each transaction to find out the quantities purchased of fertiliser and fuel. This should be a standard means of reporting for non-service industry clients who don't function in the same way as e.g. plumbers merchants and the like.

Critical - Saving time and manual editing

FYI for all commenters - Quantity information can be added on the receivable (or payable) invoice detail report, doesn't allow for journal transactions etc, but goes some way to be able to get information out of xero that has been put in!

The lack of a report showing quantities costs me hours regularly. This feature has been available in other software for decades, and has been requested from Xero since at least 2013. Being able to include a quantity column in a general ledger or account transaction report would save a tonne of time and work.

This addition will be super helpful for myself and my company, we manually add it in a report pulled from Xero.

Please can we get this available. Was actually shocked that it was not yet available as I thought it to be a basic inclusion.

It is beyond comprehension that the quantity field cannot be selected in a Transaction Report. This is not even an 'idea', it's just basic functionality that is woefully lacking.

I am surprised this is not a baseline reporting requirement. Quantity of an invoiced item helps determine trends in sales over time

This would be real useful.
On a Farm we need to record quantities of fuel, fertiliser, grain sales, lamb sales, basically everything and I can't believe that this was requested back in 2022 and hasn't yet been activated. -

This would a a huge help in calculating FBT, so we can see the number of ppl that an entertainment expense relates to. Woudl save doubling up on having a separate speadsheet.
We enter the Unit quantites when inputting, why can it the be included in a report ? -

This is a massive issue, this is a basic need and still have not seen it happen, given you can add quantity to a transaction and not report on it....
