Report - All Excel exports in up to date version of Excel
Please create all excel exports from Xero in the currrent .xlsx format. Some are still produce in the old file format (for instance General Ledger Report) and have to be resaved to bring up to date.

Hi team, as you'll all likely be aware our older reports are going to be retired on 31 July this year(2023)
You'll find all of Xero's new reports where you select to Export Excel come in a .xlsx format 😁

xls files are blocked across our organization for security reasons and it's been 16 years since MS changed to xlsx. There's workarounds but a global setting for export to xlsx would be appropriate.

Absolutely, nightmare downloading .xls files. .xlsx for the win!
