It would be useful for Xero to check the peppol register and tell you that the client is registered for eInvoices when you when you create a new client or look in the client details. Doing this manually is time consuming and you have to remember which are and which aren't

100% agree. Also for repeating invoices. And also send the client a notification or alert that the invoice has been sent via e-invoicing.

A setting on the client under 'sales defaults', 'Always send as an e Invoice', as I have to manually remember to switch the toggle on these select few clients.

also noted, there is an error in sending einvoices if you have a comma in the reference field. can this be changed please?

would make sense to be able to tick a button for the specific client you know is registered and therefore it is sent an einvoice by default

Yes! A government customer ours has recently requested E-Invoicing.
Would also be handy to be able to add a default reference to the the invoice -

I agree.
If a client agrees to receive future invoices (including repeating invoices) as einvoices the process should be seamless.This suggestion seems a good way to achieve that.

to send an invoice via e-invoicing is currently very clunky and manual. It needs to be better automated and one way to do this is to be able to set e-invoice as a default in the customer contact card, which should then send via this method when bulk sending.

Could you please look at making the e-invoicing toggle button as default.
This will allow the invoices raised in Xero Practice Manager to be sent to Xero and then sent in Bulk (email multiple clients from awaiting payment) rather than selecting it manually. This will save a lot of time and also allow the other side to receive the invoice in their system.
Currently what it is doing is getting us to go into the invoice and then manually toggle this for clients we know are setup for e-invoicing. If this is handle automatically it will achieve its true purpose.It will also allow the system to go through and check the ones that are not signed up to e-invoicing and send those out as normal. Currently its doing it the other way round which is annoying especially when you raise a lot of invoicing on a daily basis and have to keep toggling the button.
