UK Payroll: Calculate gross from net

Looking to move from using Sage payroll where this time saving feature is available when paying net bonuses, it would be great help if this was also available in Xero payroll.

    Any resolution on a net to gross pay element??

    It seems to be something a lot of people need, can you please sort it out Xero???

    When is this likely to be updated?? I was going to use Xero for two new payrolls, along with accounts. But as this is not something Xero seems able to do, I will be migrating the payrolls, and probably the accounts as well, to another provider.

    I have clients with salary sacrifice pension contributions so need to always work back to ensure the tax & ni savings are included.

    As far as I'm aware all the leading Payroll Softwares have this feature, catch up Xero! ;-)

    Yes I agree this is a feature that should be introduced.

    I was also given the "Trial and Error" method of calculating which is not very good!

    Net to Gross Pay Calculator

    We also have several small business clients who regularly want to pay employees/workers a specified amount, and we need the gross amount, to be calculated automatically, for the pay run. We currently use MoneySoft Payroll Manager where this feature is available, and are unable to switch to Xero Payroll until this feature is made available. 'Trial and Error' as recommended is not a viable long term solution.

    Having made the switch to Xero, we also do not want to contemplate using Sage as our Payroll in the Cloud. This is now an urgent requirement for us, and is required for both bonus payments and short term/contract workers. Having this in place for the start of the 24/25 tax year would be very welcome.

    It would be useful to have the option to enter a 'net' figure on the payslip. As sometimes we get clients who ask to pay their staff x amount net, so it's rather fiddly having to adjust the rate to be able to achieve this.

    Looking to calculate payroll from net to gross. We would like to pay employees £2,000.00 net a month. This isn't currently a feature so we are having to do a back calculation every month to get to £2,000.00 net. I think this would be a good function to have on payroll.

    Xero Payroll - There is currently no functionality to calculate a Gross amount from a Net payment amount. Just wondering if there are any plans to update this as it's a useful function to have.
