Sales Invoice | Delivery address - Update for individual invoice
Delivery Address:
To have the ability to add a delivery address when raising an invoice that can be printed onto the invoice. This would need to permanently save the delivery address to that invoice. When a new invoice to the same customer is raised then have the ability to enter another delivery address if required without effecting the previous invoice delivery address.

Please focus on this update.
Residential Tradies would find this a huge benefit when they can visit several once of customers a day. -

This is something that we are also struggling with... seeing that this issue was raised a LONG time ago and still not solved has amazed me. I am new to this system and cannot understand why we can't change the client name / address on individual invoices without it affecting the 'Saved' information and previous invoices sent.
One of our clients has multiple factions within the same company. The billing address is always the same, as is the department processing the payment. However the client name listed on the invoice keeps changing, i.e. Joe Bloggs Ltd / Joe Bloggs Homes Ltd / Joe Bloggs New Homes Ltd... etc. etc.
We need to be able to make these individual changes to an invoice but still leave the standard client information on the system for the other invoices.
PLEASE get this sorted.
Thanks

Good idea. I run into the same problem when a customer wants to send an order to a relative or friend. I can't add the persons name on the invoice either and have to do it manually. I use the invoice in a window envelope to send to the customer. But my issue is when I enter an invocie manually it only lets me check billiing address or delivery address. But not both. I then have to go into the profile (which takes time) and add it in the profile or it does not print out on the invoice. But certainly the issue of not being able to add a different name and address for delivery is a tad frustrating and would be great if a solution to this could be found.

Reproducibility of an invoice is paramount to our accounting standards. Please provide the ability to set the address of the invoice and not change it in future updates to that Contact's address.

We have Customers with hundreds of Clients at different locations so need to have a different Client name on each invoice for the same Customer. Without this we will be cancelling our subscription. Simple as that!

We also battle with delivery addresses. There is one customer with several delivery addresses and we need Xero to give us the option to manually capture the delivery address needed

It is unacceptabled to nothave the ability to add a delivery address when issuing an invoice Delivery address should be saved to the specific invoice. We are a company that has customers with many different shippong address When a new invoice to the same customer is issued we should have the ability to enter a different delivery address without this effecting the previous invoices' delivery address.

I would not have changed to xero if I knew this prior!! this is such an issue for my business as I have many customers who send to different addresses. I just want to enter a delivery address for an invoice and not have it change every invoice delivery address prior to that!!!

Option to finalise a sales invoice with delivery address.
Currently Xero is rolling forward the delivery address within a sales invoice, which means if you want to reprint an invoice it will automatically show the latest delivery address entered on the latest invoice therefore the wrong delivery address will show if you are using various thus making the reprint wrong and you need to go back into the invoice and amend. Can we not have an option to finalise a sales invoice with the correct addresses? -

Thanks Hannah
However the address does not stick with the invoice if re printed at a later date.
It changes to the latest edited address.
This is not an effective change. -

We have clients who send us to jobs at different addresses on a daily basis.
How can Xero not have a feature to update invoices automatically from a work order? -
Barry Sluiters commented
I am extremely disappointed with Xero as I was not informed of their inability to change the delivery address on invoices before switching from MYOB. I strongly believe that this is unacceptable and I am currently considering if I should switch back to MYOB.

Does Xero plan on changing this feature to that when updating address on an invoice it doesn't automatically update the delivery address for that contact on all previous invoices?
This is very important to know.

As accounting software i cannot get my head round why this is not standard, every month getting chased for POD and you have to spend most of the time trying too match and updating originals sent - Ending in late payments by customers- If Xero do not fix i am going elsewhere

I agree that it is very important to have the option to change delivery addresses on individual invoices without this effecting previous invoices. Our customers request deliveries to alternative addresses and Xero should not be updating historical invoices. I am disappointed that Xero do not have the ability to make this change as other accounting software providers do provide this service.

This would be a great for a lot of my clients that have delivery addresses that change and need to be recorded with each invoice

It'd also be great if the same could apply to billing addresses too!

It boggles the mind that this isn't a standard feature. Knowing where goods were sent to on an invoice is so fundamental how did it ever get implemented this way.
Even POs have an address on them, it makes no sense come on Xero.
