UK Payroll: Report on employee age
With ever changing minimum wage requirements (UK only) which are based on an employees age it would be useful to be able to have a 'one pager' report that lists the employee name and the current age. Their age is data which is already in Xero as part of the employee profile. A report would be useful to help payroll staff check who needs to move onto new wages / salaries based on age groups.

I'd like to add that something that had name, birthdate, age, length of serivce, payroll number would help with minimum wage, NI letter coding, pension eligibility. And exportable in a format such as excel rather than PDF.

In Australia, the minimum pay rates for juniors changes by age - an alert when the under-21 employee has had a birthday would remind us to check that the pay rates are correct before running their pay

When people on a payroll turn 21 their NI Letter needs to change, usually from M to A. I've yet to find an efficient way to find out if someone has 'come of age' since the last payrun. The consequence of missing this is that the correct taxes are not collected. I'd like to be notified when someone has a 21st Birthday - perhaps in the way that tax codes that require attention are notified? At least having a report that list staff by age would be a good start, then for each 21 year old the NI letter could be checked.

This would be extremely helpful. Or flag us when they hit certain ages as we get for the pension

I would love this too - I have a few start work at 19 or 20 and also need to remember to change their NI code.
