Sales Invoice - Auto save draft email when sending
When amending the email which is sent when sending an invoice, I sometimes accidentally touch the screen, causing the screen to swipe down, losing the message. If you swipe down on the email, could this not be saved as a draft with the draft invoice, so I don’t have to start again?
Understand the nuance, Jason. Do you often find yourself sending personalised emails with each invoice? If something a little more generic or widely used perhaps it could be worth setting this up as an email template?

I create an invoice. When ready, I send by email. This brings up a template. I add detailed explanation to this, sometimes several paragraphs. Occasionally I need to go back to the invoice. If I close the email, this is not saved and Ihave to start again (the invoice itself is saved as a draft). Also, I often swipe up or down to go to the top or bottom of the email. Often it then disappears down and it is gone. I then gave to start again.
Why not save these emails in a draft format, along with the invoice? Also it would be good to save the email with the invoice, so it can be referred back to. Yes, I know a copy is sent to me but it would be much easier if I don't have to search my emails to find the old one. Even better if the email could be displayed next to the invoice whilst in Landscape iPad orientation.

when I send an invoice, I always add a paragraph or two to the email, explaining what I did and what is required going forward. For example:
Dear Charlotte,
I attended your home today to bypass the matrix switch. I have done this and now the Sky, Apple TV and BlueRay are connected directly to the Denon surround sound amplifier.
I also updated all the Control4 software to the latest version.
The Kitchen TV was not working but I found a broken Infra red control wire. I have repaired this and it is all good.
The amount outstanding of £315.00 is due on 22 Mar 2023.
Only the first and last lines were from he template. The problem is that if you accidentally swipe up (which seems to happen quite often, you loose the email.
