Purchase Orders - Import from an Excel file

Can we add a function to import purchase order from excel file? We have had it as import bill already, but it is not enough because we need to use the PO function in Xero. However, it is time consuming and many mistakes due to manually entering our PO. It would be great if we can import from excel for both bill and PO function.

    Since there's an import for SL, why not include in the PL function? Xero, please acknowledge and make changes that would impact processing for those who actually do the detail work, not just run reports.

    Please consider adding the ability to import POs. This feature would significantly reduce manual data entry and save valuable time, especially when dealing with POs containing multiple line items. It's a critical need for teams managing high-volume procurement and contractor workflows

    That would be excellent.
    We have PO with above 90 items and to first draft in excel then simple import into Zero would save hrs of work

    With POs being the best way to provide RCTI's (based on Xero's own help files) it seems a little strange you can't bulk import POs already. Definitely would be an extremely useful update.

    There have been no comments or updates since the original post in 2023. There are also still no comments from Xero and no communication.

    Do any of these people from Xero read the comments? Or do comments have to read a certain number before they 'automatically' trigger an alarm at their end?

    We create PO's in multiple systems including Approval Max. But we want Xero to be our source of truth for Financial information, but until Xero can accept imported PO's it is not the source of truth.

    It would be a time-saver process for us bookkeepers out there! Makes soooo much sense since we import invoices, bills, and bank statements.

    PLEASE PLEASE develop this process!

    Xero, please act on this one to enable Purchase Orders imports. It could save us a lot time and efforts.

    Has anyone from Xero chimed in at all? Having worked for a competitor I know this is EASY to implement. It just doesn't make them money to enable users. Sad.

    Xero, please add a Purchase Order (PO) import feature! It’s incredibly frustrating that we can import invoices and bills and journals but not POs!!! Manually entering large POs is time-consuming and inefficient, especially when customers send extensive orders in spreadsheets. A simple CSV import would save hours of work and streamline our workflow. Many users are considering switching platforms due to this missing functionality. Please provide an update on when this feature will be available—we need this urgently!
