Thanks for continuing to share your feedback on new invoicing and your needs in increasing the description field. As mentioned in my last update, currently each line of your invoice can contain up to 4,000 characters within the ‘Description’ field.

Though we don’t have immediate plans for extending this, our product teams have started some more research to get a deepened sense of our invoicing users for future improvements. To clarify as it appears there may be some confusion, the 4,000 character limit is per line and based on the characters that can be entered in the ‘Description’ field of each line within the invoice. This does not apply to the invoice as a whole.

We want to be open that at this time we still do not have any plans for extending this limit, however we will continue to track and review this idea and share if any plans are made.

Hi Sarah, while we don’t have any immediate work planned to increase the character limit, it’d be good to understand how large you’d be wanting this to be to accommodate your businesses needs?
