Brand Templates - Interactive
Ability to create invoice templates interactively via Xero rather than through a word (.Docx) file.
This would allow ease when creating invoice templates for myself as well as clients

The current method for editing/creating custom templates is completely atrocious. I have worked in the IT field for over a decade and am very comfortable working with many different types of software, even I find it extremely difficult and time consuming to work with the custom templates for Xero. It took hours upon hours to initially create the templates I use now, but even after that they don't look great. I have been needing to make a few changes to my templates for months now, but I keep putting it off because I dread having to waste half a day's work just to make a couple of edits that would have taken less than 5 minutes in Quickbooks. I am very disappointed that Xero is not taking this functionality seriously; standard basic functionality that competing software has had for decades. I am also disgusted that Xero moves forward with other frilly features without giving us the basics (ahem... multiple contact addresses). That is like adding more horsepower to a car with four flat tires, fix the basics first!!

Yes, I was horrified to find that Xero has Zero graphical template editors. Our 20 year old version of QuickBooks had one, it was a little painful, but it worked fine, and what you saw was what you got. I feel like its the late 1980s again, trying to create a professional template with lines of code and no preview.
On top of that, there isn't even a 'preview' function any more in the template editor. So you're completely in the dark to see what effects your edit have made until you create a dummy invoice.
Then when you search for help, everyone is complaining that the preview doesn't even match what goes into the pdf !I also love the thought police deciding to call them 'branding themes' rather than templates. If they had any clue about branding, you wouldn't get the message "Your image will be scaled to a maximum of 400 pixels wide and 120 pixels high" when uploading a logo. Anything larger than a postage stamp will look grainy as all getout.
There's also Zero support for vector images.
