Thanks for sharing your idea about the payment date of unscheduled pay runs. If you're making a correction to a old pay run, in most situations you'll want the payment date to match that of the pay run you're making corrections for. However understand this is not always the case.

We've reviewed your idea and now it's up to the community to get behind and support it. Make sure you share your idea with any colleagues that this could benefit so they can add their vote too!

Along with votes, other members can now comment to share additional detail about how your idea could improve their experience with Xero.

    This is entirely common sense.
What on earth is the logic behind the selection of the default payment date ?
A random number generator ? It randomly shows dates in the future, or worse still, in the past.

Hey community, thanks for your engagement about your needs in Payday Super.

As you may have seen, we've introduced a new auto super overview page which indicates the number of contributions that need attention/are past their expected payment date, as well as batches that need your attention too.

    We have plans for developing send email notifications that'll be triggered to all payroll admins;

    • 1 day after the expected payment date has passed, and again
    • 7 days after if no action has been taken

We'll keep you updated on these notifications here and encourage your continued feedback.

interesting. 1 month, 8 votes and this idea is 'in development'.
Yet a related idea over 3 years old with 344 votes and over 100 comments, many screaming "this must be done before 1Jul26" is at status 'accepted' and " high on our agenda, likely to be picked up later this year."

I can imagine the frustration after receiving this reminder, and then finding this sole payment approver is on leave, so the payment can't go through anyway.

Hey everyone! Thanks so much for your feedback and for sharing your thoughts on this. It’s clear from the support this idea has gained that automated reminders for superannuation payments could be a huge help for many of you. We hear you and can see how this could make managing your obligations smoother.

Our product team has taken a look at this and we’re exploring how we can build it in to help you stay on top of the proposed PayDay Super changes. It’s on our roadmap, and we’ll keep you posted as things move forward. 🙂

not sure why this idea is still "in development", since there seems little point of having a reminder when in about 3 months it'll be redundant with payday super meaning super payments must be done immediately every payday, not monthly /quarterly.

Maybe the resources working on this could be swung across to implement a burning issue of enabling multiple super payment authorisors

Yes, I was horrified to find that Xero has Zero graphical template editors. Our 20 year old version of QuickBooks had one, it was a little painful, but it worked fine, and what you saw was what you got. I feel like its the late 1980s again, trying to create a professional template with lines of code and no preview.

On top of that, there isn't even a 'preview' function any more in the template editor. So you're completely in the dark to see what effects your edit have made until you create a dummy invoice.
Then when you search for help, everyone is complaining that the preview doesn't even match what goes into the pdf !

I also love the thought police deciding to call them 'branding themes' rather than templates. If they had any clue about branding, you wouldn't get the message "Your image will be scaled to a maximum of 400 pixels wide and 120 pixels high" when uploading a logo. Anything larger than a postage stamp will look grainy as all getout.

There's also Zero support for vector images.

+1 for this. Xero support for project based professional services businesses is ....disappointing to say the least. The Xero projects app is woefully unreliable, and hasn't been updated for 15 months. There are many timekeeping app options, but I'm yet to find one that integrates with Xero and properly passes projects and tasks that may have a different charge rates for different projects.

And the inability to simply import csv timesheets is astounding.
