Tasks. We would love to be able to manually add a task or reminder so that the next time we logged into a clients Xero we can see the reminder to check or do something.

I came to this section request exactly the same functionality. It would be great to be able to create my own task list and reminders so that next time I log in it would be all there in one place for me (or notes for anyone else if I’m not available)

This would be great! I was imagining a To-Do list of sorts so that we can leave notes/reminders/tasks for ourselves and other users to see when they login. Even better if individual tasks can have an option to assign to a particular user and an option to mark complete. We are starting to train one of our staff members to complete quotes and invoices so this would be a really convenient platform to use instead of sharing a google doc back and forth.

Yes in particular, if we could see if the super had been authorised and paid.

A widget with Calendar, date and time with editable task timeline and appointment scheduling within the widget for better flow of task execution. While this idea can be done on an other external app, i believe integrating this within Xero homepage will give the users access to almost everything needed to run a business under on single roof.

Option to add extra personalised tasks to Task list on home screen in Xero.
With the task list showing front and centre in the new home screen, it would be very helpful to be able to personalise the list with individual tasks and reminders. From accountants and bookkeepers side, we could add tasks and reminders to clients. Also adding tasks to complete next time we login to the clients file. Equally useful for small businesses. Reminders to pay something, fix a payrun next time pays are done, follow up on a missing document etc etc. -

Tasks for new files or flagged files would be very useful, like the way invoices are currently listed. The change to management of files has been great, and I hope it continues be refined. The homepage Tasks box has the potential for useful file management if the files can be tagged in a task for action by an user, either manually or according a rule and that user notified.

Yes! The usual task management functions would be incredibly valuable - allocation to users, deadline, notifications, etc.
It would also be good to clear-up ambiguity with 'tasks' used in Projects. -

Adding additional tasks manually is a must. it would be great for tasks outside of xero also such as, vehicle 3 in for service on *** date, or order materials for *** job

Tasks should able to be 1) allocated to a specific user ( eg bookkeeper/ accountant/owner), 2) able to be checked off, 3) recurring as required and 4) broken into either a "task" or announcement/comment"

I agree! Would be really good for us to be able add our own tasks and assign to users as well!
