   I can't get off this forum....have been trying for the past month. Clicked Unubscribe to 20 or so emails to no avail. Still getting emails about homepage. Please fix it!!

2. Minimal mode option for bookkeeping

   I would like to share feedback regarding the new homepage layout.

   While I appreciate that updates aim to improve functionality and modernise the interface, I experienced the new layout as visually overwhelming and cognitively heavier than the previous version.

   Some specific observations:

   Increased visual amplitude
   The larger card sizes, expanded whitespace, and increased typography scale make the dashboard feel more dominant and “loud” compared to the previous compact layout.

   Greater visual emphasis on charts
   The taller and more prominent graphs draw strong attention, even when I simply want to access operational data quickly. This shifts the tone from a bookkeeping workspace to a performance dashboard.

   Reduced spatial familiarity
   The previous layout allowed for stable spatial memory. I knew exactly where key information was located. The new arrangement requires relearning navigation patterns, which increases cognitive effort.

   Scanning effort
   The increased spacing between elements requires more eye travel and scanning distance, which can feel fatiguing during daily accounting tasks.

   Lack of compact mode
   It would be highly beneficial to offer:
   – A compact or reduced-density view
   – A “bookkeeper” or operational mode versus an executive dashboard mode
   – Greater control over card size and visual intensity

   For users who work in accounting daily, predictability and visual calm are important for efficiency. The new layout may work well for high-level overview, but for operational users it increases cognitive load.

   I would strongly encourage the option of a density toggle or minimal mode to improve accessibility for users who are sensitive to visual overstimulation.

   Opening it for the first time created a stress response in me.

   I got rid of most of it and tried to recreate the previous layout which is possible in a limited capacity.

   I would like to share feedback regarding the new homepage layout.

3. Homepage - Customise colour of widgets

   Colour options for bank accounts & credit cards so they are easily identifiable. i.e my client uses different banks with different feeds, would be great to have some colours.

5. Grandfather in pricing and stop raising pricing on us. We just want simple accounting that we signed up for.

   Stop charging us more for thing we don't need or want. We just want simple accounting that we signed up for at a fair price. If you make improvements you want, grandfather people in.

7. organize

   Order of Bank Accounts used to be based on the way they were organized from the Bank Accounts page, and then each user could rearrange their Homepage widgets. Now this sorting doesn't seem to impact the way the Homepage is sorted.

   AND, if new accounts are added, not only does the old Bank Accounts page order have anything to do with the new Homepage, but new accounts are not automatically added to the dashboard. You have to:
   1) Edit Homepage
   2) Add Widget
   3) Toggle the New Bank Accounts on to Show on the Homepage
   4) Save
   5) Scroll down to the bottom of the Homepage to find them
   6) Move each up to where you want them.

   Please improve this to:
   1) default to show newly added bank accounts to the home page and then they can be chosen to be hidden
   2) organize them based on the Bank Accounts page sorting, or if that page is going away, have a default sorting for all users, that isn't per user.

   A widget to show a simplified/high-level summary of profit and loss for the last 3 months, at a glance

   Turnover/sales
   Direct costs
   Gross Profit
   Salaries
   Overheads
   Net profit / PBT

   This would be really helpful for quick reference and reporting key financial measures

11. Readability

    I would love the option of a list (ie long narrow tiles with the account name/number and Xero bal and statement bal; no graph/chart preview) instead of all tiles being three across.

    Two tiles across were easier to "read"/scan quickly, but three tiles across presents a lot of information at once without visual distinction, especially when compared to the old layout where the boxes generally were different sizes on the left side and right (and therefore easier to ignore one side depending on what information I needed).

    The option to maybe pick a colour for the tiles, or to resize them, might be helpful as well.

    Ultimately there is too much information at once, which slows down readability.

12. Too much stuff at the top

    Both the new and old homepages/dashboards have an excess number of banners/notifications/little used sections above the real nitty gritty stuff that we use every day. It needs to be moved elsewhere.

17. Homepage - Reduce font size

    Make the font smaller so I can see more on one page, instead of having to scroll down for days. It looks like a children's book! People should get glasses if they can't read the smaller font Xero used to have - back in the good old days!!

18. Too cluttered and busy

    Too busy!
    Even when I have reduced the widgets, this new homescreen gives me a headache! It is OVERLY busy. You can't even narrow it down - the page is so wide, it is very very hard to read.
    
    I am really SICK of these new updates that add absolutely nothing. When you check the feedback for most new things, people say they want the old, yet you won't switch it back
    Please let us choose and keep the old one.
    I am considering a new package as I'm a bit over it

20. Homepage - Add new bank accounts to homepage by default

    Automatically show new bank accounts on the Homepage
    When a new bank account is added in Xero, it currently defaults to being hidden until the user manually clicks “Add to homepage.” This creates an extra, unnecessary step.
    Suggestion:
    Have newly added bank accounts appear on the Homepage by default, with the option to hide them if users prefer. This would streamline the setup process and reduce friction for users who expect new accounts to be visible immediately.
