AU Payroll - Reporting outside standard pay periods
We have employees who get paid 12 x per year with either a 4 week or 5 week pay period, being paid on the last thursday of the month. At present, Xero doesn't give this option to change a pay period within payroll calendars.
This adjustment would also assist with the use of the xero timesheets as our pay period does not match the "standard payroll" dates and will confuse staff - we currently rely on staff submitting paper timesheets and manual processing. I am also adding a note at the bottom of the "monthly" timesheet highlighting the Actual Pay Period.
I would also like to look further into using the other payroll features like converting hours to time in lieu and have our staff apply for leave on the Xero Me app, but when our payroll dates do not align with the standard dates, it creates processing issues.
If anyone can recommend another payroll program that allows flexibility, it would be appreciated.
