  1. Hi, I was wondering if it is possible to include some non financial data in zero ledgers for reporting?
    For Example - I would like to include a 'No. of Transactions' for a period that would not be a financial number (so no balancing required) but, this number would be available to add to reports i.e creating a cost per transaction.
    We used to call these 'SKU's' and generally they would Non Financial KPI's like:- production days, FTE's, LTI's or Units produced.
    Any help would be great.

  2. On the notes section to the financial reports in adviser reports templated under the groups, I would like the accounts selected to be in alphabetical order. At the moment the only option is to manually drag and drop - with a large number of accounts this is extremely time consuming. An automated function would assist.

  3. It would be great if a column could be added to either the Aged Receivables Report or the Receivable Invoice Detail Report that shows the number of days the invoice is overdue by.

    The number of days an invoice is overdue by can be seen on the 'Awaiting Payment' tab in the invoice section in Xero, but even on this part the information cannot be exported.

  4. Recommendation is to add graphs as a report on Xero. Clients can see their turnover an example over a few months which can be sent to them direct from Xero !

    Is there a specific report or reports you'd like to do this with, Suveera. 

    Xero analytics is one way of getting more of a visual view of an organisations performance, or alternatively you'll find there are a couple of reports like the Income and Expense by Contact reports that enable you to show a chart of your top 10 customers or suppliers. 

  5. Description Field with the bank narration

    This happened as a couple of newer client and new to xero in the contact field wrote something incredibly different to the bank narration which makes it very difficult to review the general ledger information.

    For example in the General Account the transactions descriptions are all listed as "John Smith" when if the bank narration option was available I could see it is Officeworks, KFC, etc and this would make it easier to realise these are miscoded and reallocate.

  6. The new reports are significantly slower than the old reports. I was wondering if this has been experienced/ shared by other users? And if Xero were working on improving this?

    Appears Xero has gone backwards in terms of efficiency...

  7. MANNUAL JOURNAL

    Please add a reference column for us to fill up so that posted journal are document in sequence number. The journal ID is actually act as audit trail Instead of journal reference number.

    Also, pleas please allow journal entries to be able to post entries to bank...its such a miserable, while journal entries supposingly existed to pass adjustment but doesn't allow pass entries....

  9. It would be great to have the option when creating a bank rule to tick the bank accounts to run the rule on, as opposed to having ALL or just one. We often need to run the rule on say three of the five bank accounts, and are forced to set up three identical bank rules just so we can select each account, as we don't want to run the rule on all five accounts. This is particularly prevalent when using tracking categories. Some entities have different bank accounts for different areas of their business and when coding we'd like…

  10. In reports - Be able to make formulas from individual rows / accounts not just "columns, group totals or formula rows". I have attached an example of the work around required to get Gross Profits for hospitality split into Wet (Booze) and Dry (Food). It adds 8 lines and makes the report unwieldy. I would love to to more interesting formula. And not have to export to Excel or other programs.

I attended the 2023 Q2 QPU and I like that for placeholders you can add a number in the square brackets to modify the month placeholder (this was in repeating journals - is it the same in other repeating features, like Invoices/Bills?). I also wonder if you can modify the year placeholder in the same way.

    But I'd like also to be able to post repeating journals with a placeholder that uses a number-format for month (eg, 04 instead of April). Alternatively or additionally, it would be nice to be able to abbreviate the month to just the first 3…

    I send out reports to my departments each month, this morning it took 4 hours to add the tracking codes to the new P & L reports (we love the new report and so do our Department Heads).
    I was wondering if there is a way of saving each custom report for each individual dept with their tracking within a folder. We have a Junior and Senior Campus and about 45 departments at each.     There's no facility to create folders in the Reports Centre for this sort of categorisation atm.

  15. When adding a actual expense within a project it should open a spend money transaction in Xero and have the ability to save photo of the receipt as normal spend money. Or alternative within the XERO app be able to select a project when inputing a receipt, the current setup is double handeling because you purchase somthing and you have to enter it in xero then in the project.

    Hi community, in lieu of having a direct feature for this I wanted to highlight the option shared earlier on in this thread (Thanks Peter!) for those it may help.

    As mentioned, currently you could enter a separate line on the invoice, with a negative amount for the retention value, and code this to a 'customer retentions' account in the Balance Sheet. You could also add a comment in the Description field, indicating the cumulative retention value.

    The Account Transactions Report can then be used to manage the values being carried forward. 

    Being open, this isn't something we have planned for development at this time, however we'll continue to gather the interest here, and if there's any changes we'll let you know. 

  17. I would like to see the limitation of receiving payment on 50 inovices be increased or removed completely. I Have a trucking company that issues hundreds of trip invoices to it's customers and the limit of receiving payment on 50 invoices at a time doesnt work for them.

  18. When the Switch rule is set for an account group in Balance Sheet, only individual accounts with negative balances are moved. Please allow option to switch for the whole account group, not individual accounts only.

  20. I need to include a Cash Summary report and bank summary report in standard management reports.

    I need the Cash Summary report format - working capital with other cash movements. I never use the default report. It includes balance sheet items as expenses and has little meaning for the clients I have viewed this for.

    At the moment, this can only be done on an individual client level and laboriously. This is not viable for my office.
