Quote & Invoice lists - View Projects

Projects - I would like to see the references for each invoice in the list of quotes and invoices on projects. It is difficult to tack what you have invoiced when you have to open each individual invoice.

    Great idea! Also could we have a number in a tab to indicate if there is a quote, etc in that tab. Currently when you open a Project to view details, it defers straight to the Tasks & Expenses tab. You then have to physically click on say the Quote Tab to see if there is a quote in there.

    The reference for the invoices tells me which contractor is being on-billed on which subcontract, and therefore which contact at the client to call about the unpaid invoice. Having to open the invoice to find out which subcontract it is (and then look up who to contact in the master list we have to store outside of Xero since Xero can't deal with needing multiple contact names at the same client) is extra time that's purely wasted.

    I desperately need this. We deal with a company that has 100's of customers on their books. I am sick and tired having to go through everyone to find a customer attached under the umbrella of 1 company. Our last accounting software we used we could do this with. Put in an address, phone number and there it was. This is an absolute game changer not having this feature. Such a basic feature should already be set up on Xero. We are now in talks with our accountants to find a new accounting software or go back to the one we had! Such a shame as Xero does have many good features, but if a business can't use it to their advantage. whats the point!

    Projects - Reference field on linked Quotes & Invoices list
    Currently with no reference large projects with multiple quotes and invoices require opening each one to located the wanted information - very time consuming and limits usability.
    Plenty of 'space' on the list for a reference field.

    Ability to search invoices by a job address and additional reference spaces to record work numbers.

    It would be great to have mandatory fields at the top of quotes and have these as searchable:

    1. Job(or Project) Name
    2. Job(or Project) Address

    I have a client who receives deposits, but does not invoice until project/job is completed, often his customers do not quote the reference only a job name or address. I spend a lot of time looking for the correct customer, manually searching through quotes for the address, which obviously is not searchable elsewhere.
