  1. My team member complained about the privacy of Xero me Overview page.

    The page lists the payslip information on default. It is considered a risk of privacy exposure when people open Xero Me in the office area.

    Maybe it would be good to add a funtion in Xero Me overview page to Hide the payslip information.

  3. Give the ability to set a percentage (i.e) 50% on an employees bank account when paying across more than one bank.
    I have an employee who always splits her pay equally between 2 bank accounts, however she is a commission paid rep and therefore each pay amount is different. So the current function is no use to me- which allows a $$ amount to be set only. This is fine for set salaried employees but not for commissioned sales reps.
    MYOB had a function where you could set a percentage on how much went to bank account 1, and therefore…

  4. It would be great to be able to export a report of all notes on employees contact. We use the notes section to record notes about attendance issues, conversations, warnings given.

    Thanks for your idea, Kylie!

    You might've noticed that we've recently added a new button to the Payroll menu - Payroll History.

    This report keeps track of all the changes recorded in your Payroll History tabs and can be filtered by employee. You can then search 'Notes' to view all of an employee's notes in full on one page.

    Whilst this page can't be exported, you can print the resulting page, or copy the values to a blank excel sheet.

  5. On payslips and in reports, I think there should be dates next to the following items so it isn't confusing for the employee and when checking reports. It makes it more transparent too.

  6. Hi, requesting an improved memo setting within payroll. Can we have more setting for memo? for an example a font, format (bold, italic, strike and understrike) and repeating memo.
    Example, a quite unique bonus system for a certain employee and we would like to show her the description for the bonus. we would like to put it on a smaller font size with italic format.

  7. I would like to have the ability to reflect a new increase from the agreed-upon date. Often, salary reviews occur after the financial year-end and need to be backdated. However, Xero does not allow for backdating when other payroll systems do. You have to make a note of the actual start date, which isn't reflected in any reporting, making it not very useful.

    Additionally, there should be the ability for an advanced support person to modify information, enabling them to roll back a change. I recently encountered an issue where third-party software changed the review date of a salary to…

  8. Can you please create the functionality to send the payslips to both the employees and the employers.

    Currently payslips can only be sent to one email address when being sent by Xero. A second email address can't be added to an employee's record for payslips to be sent to.

    It would be beneficial to be able to send them via Xero to both the employee and employer.

  9. Link the data already on file in the Pay Templates directly to the Employees Time sheet. Or at least remove the ability for Employees to view ALL pay items on their time sheet. This creates friction among Employees and angst re different levels that they may not be on. Despite the fact they can't see a dollar amount. Even if I need to create a new Time Sheet Template as long as ALL pay item are hidden on the time sheet from the Employee point of view. Seems an easy fix. get it done please.

  10. Currently payroll is only able to child support as a deduction.

    In Australia, there is a protected amount that employee needs to earn before the deduction is taken out of their pay. There isn't a function that will allow this currently.

    Payroll officers manually have to keep track of this and remove the deduction if protected amount is not reached. Small businesses with a few employees would be able to keep track but for the likes of a bigger business with more than 20+ employees, this would be a nightmare.

    Thanks for your support here, everyone. We appreciate all the valuable feedback regarding logos on payslips when using Pay Run. 

    To be open and upfront we don't have direct plans for making this change any time in the near term.

    Right now, you could consider printing payslips on a company letterhead with the logo already pre-printed.

  12. It would be great if we could pay our employees similar to how we can process a batch payment in XERO for bills. At the moment I am having to go into the bank account at the end and pay each employee individually.

    Is there another way to do this ? I may be missing something.

  13. It would be beneficial for an employee to record all hours worked in the timesheet including hours to be allocated as TOIL Accrual
    i.e. employee works 35 hours, 30 hours ordinary and 5 hours to TOIL accrual?
    Then when the employees wishes to take the TOIL, they submit a Leave Request as per existing functionality.

    Currently the employee needs to separately notify payroll regarding hours worked to be allocated to TOIL Accrual. And this doesn't go through the Supervisor Timesheet Approval process.

  14. Xero does not have a function that will allow your employees to include a note under each timesheet input.

    Multiple time slots per day will need a note/description box.
    E.G. Contractors. Visits multiple jobs per day and needs time per job and a note (what was compleated)

  15. Would be great if you could pay the IRD PAYE when you pay the employees in the same payroll batch. This is already a function with Flexitime Payhero and doesn’t rely on staff making the IRD PAYE payment manually. If Xero had this function there would never be any late IRD PAYE payments as its getting paid to IRD when the employees are paid.

  20. I need to be able to track all my project expenses, including labor costs, for each project. All the labor data is already in Gusto, my payroll provider. Currently I have to create a report in Gusto then manually enter the data in Xero. I also have to manually maintain two lists of the same projects: one list in Xero, and one list in Gusto. I would like the Projects in Xero to synchronize (two way) with the Projects in Gusto. I would also like to be able to pull (or synch) the project labor cost from Gusto to Xero.
