NZ Payroll - Allow timesheet approval for employees with authority

For employees who use Xero My Payroll, if you are a Payroll Admin user, you can grant employees authority to approve leave. The option for Timesheet approval should also be there, it is available in other countries but not NZ.

    We have a warehouse manager who's only role in Xero would be to send us timesheet information and approve leave. We don't want him seeing anything else.

    100% support this suggestion. It's hard to understand why Xero can grant permission for managers to approve leave requests but lacks the functionality for them to approve timesheets for the employees they manage. This seems like a basic feature that is standard in every other payroll platform we use. It creates unnecessary gaps in workflow and oversight, which could easily be resolved by giving managers the same approval authority for timesheets.

    Client not happy about the fact that their Managers cannot approve timesheets through phone app, when will this function be added in the same way that leave approval can be?

    Been looking to see if this was possible in NZ until finally coming across this idea/request. First time Xero payroll user as always been advised to stay away if possible. Used about 6 other payroll systems and timesheet approval by team lead is a standard function now. Thought Xero had it but not in NZ.

    Agree. Why only NZ doesn't have such a function? Our employees need to submit timesheets for senior staff to approve.

    Be great if leads could approve timesheets as they can leave requests without having to enable full admin access.

    This is not available ion AUS. Timeshet approval is currently only available if you have full payroll Admin access

    Desperately need in NZ. Employees need the tick box to be able to approve timesheets just like they can approve leave.

    Also would be great if a branch manager could have a limited permission that allows them to only view and approve timesheets and leave but not view or have access to the entire payroll system. Currently, payroll admin can access/view everything. We just need the manager in the branch to be able to approve timesheets are correct so the payroll admin can process the rest. Not keen on giving all admin users a free for all of the entire companies employees personal information. Would love ability for timesheet approval with a limited admin access user, then we could actually use Xero My Payroll.

    Not available in UK either and would be great so managers can approve employee's time.
