NZ Payroll: Notes on Time Sheets
We have just moved onto Xero Payroll and it would be very helpful if employees could add notes to their timesheet each day.
Hi everyone, an update to my earlier message:
This change was specific to users of the Australian payroll.
Apologies, and we'll shift this idea back to 'Submitted' so we can continue to track and share if there are developments in New Zealand Payroll.
However, at the moment this is not in the team's plans.

It will be very useful if the same payroll timesheet upgrade done for Au is rolled over to NZ as well. Meaning with start and end time and an additional column to add a comment.

We are moving onto Xero payroll expecting to go paperless. Unfortunately, Xero Me app not having this functionality making it a lot harder for us. Hope you will consider adding this to NZ app too.

This is a very important function for employees, they should have the ability to give detail of their day, along with the ability to attach documents to support their comments if needed.

Why is this not in the team's plans??! I'm no accounting genius but I would have thought having this functionality would be a no brainer.
As a small business owner in the construction industry, it is extremely important for my employees to be able to add a note in their timesheets outlining which address they were at and what work was completed.
It has infuriated me to learn that NZ's 'best' accounting software is lacking such a simple but important function.
Xero, as you are the ‘best’, tell me how my employees are meant to provide me commentary regarding how many hours were completed, at what address and what work was done to ensure accurate invoicing to our customers. Or are you expecting us to waste paper and time whilst we wait for you to finally listen to the multiple complaints, across multiple platforms and implement the change that your customers have expressed a need for?
I was so happy with Xeros service and platform prior to this. It has definitely caused me to explore my options moving forward.

We use Xero Me for NZ Payroll and although the "help" article says you can add Notes, you cannot do this in NZ.
