UK Payroll - Automatically update tax code
If I run the payroll on say the 22.07 and then a P6 arrives effective from say 25.07 it wouldn't be updated automatically. Surely it should be updated regardless of whether the date relates to a previous period or not? This frequently happens. I can't think of an example of when you wouldn't want the tax code to update automatically?

Standalone Payroll - I have a few clients that are payroll only but am unable to service these through Xero which is frustrating having multiple software uses.

AU Payroll | Pay Run - Ability to add Admin only notes
I'd like to add a note within a pay run that is visible to "admin only".
Eg. To justify differences due to staff timesheet errors.
I don't want the staff to be able to see this note but I'm sick of having notes in external programs.3 votes -
Global Pay Run - Hide Voided Pay Run from Main Pay run page
Hiding Voided Pay Run from showing on the Main Pay Run Page.
It will be great to have a functionality that allows you hide payruns that have been voided from showing on the main payrun list.
When approved payruns cannot be edited, the only option is to void and create a new one. If a functionality can allow editing approved pay run, then there will be no need. But now, we need to have a function to hide the voided payruns.

UK Payroll - Auto schedule pay runs and filings
For clients we have with director only payroll, if we could schedule all the filings and pay runs to be done automatically and we just get a pop up box just before they go to confirm nothing has changed for a number of different clients rather than one at a time? I believe Sage Payroll are working on this and Keypay payroll system can already do this too. Just wondering if there's anything on the radar for Xero to to the same?

AU Payroll | Timesheets - Ability to enter negative hours
Re Payroll/Timesheets/RDO's. Can you please allow employees to enter a negative No of hours in Xero Me to category RDO accrual to get their hours back to the usual eg. 76 in a fortnight. Currently cannot submit.
Staff working 40 hours to obtain hours RDO is problematic. I don't agree with Xero's instruction to change opening balance accrual figures. Must be able to be audited.Please change the break hours to be able to be 1. entered online and not just via Xero Me 2. within 1 entry. Currently staff have to enter 2 lines each day.

Xero Me: Show employees total hours of upcoming leave
On the employees interface it would be helpful to have the number of hours booked showing against the holiday. Currently it only has the dates that have been booked. The hours are shown on the employer interface

Xero Me - Employees able to Add Kilometers
Employees cannot enter the number of kilometers to be claimed back in timesheets. A fix is to use the unit Hours instead of Kilometers. However in the Xero Me app they are only allowed to enter up to 24 Km (hours).
More than 24 units are allowed to be entered directly into Xero but not through the Xero Me app.10 votes -
Batch payment - Description from expense claims
currently we put all of our mileage through as an expense claim and then make a bath payment once it is a certain amount, however when creating the batch payment, the report produced at the end just simply stated expense claim. this can be clicked to go in individually however it would be nice if the description for that expense could also be shown so that it produces a better overview of what is being paid. even if this is just an option to add different columns that it can be selected from, that would improve things.

AU Payroll: Leave and Leave Loading summary reports
I was preparing ACT Leave return and wanted to get the report on annual leave loading payment to the employees. This is required as the annual leave loading is not part of wages definition for the ACT Leave Levy purposes. However, there is no such report available in xero payroll. Infact, it's an earning for an employee and should pop up separately somewhere in the payroll reports eg. as a pay item. I would request the product team to have a look in to this and make it possible to get the annual leave payment, sick leave payment and leave…

AU Payroll: Track who approves leave requests and timesheets
As with the financial side in Xero and their history and notes section, it would be very useful to be able to track who has approved leave or timesheets in Xero Payroll. We need site on which manager has approved the leave application or timesheet to mitigate any risk of the wrong people approving these.

Search by Employee across all of Payroll reports. We have 110 - 120 staff, currently we have to scroll down to find the right employee, can we have a standards search by employee. ie/ start typing their name and then hit enter

UK Payroll - Option to choose a date to send EE payslips
The option to choose a date to send EE payslips would be a huge help , when you are running multiply payrolls this option would be invaluable. I may run a payroll on the 10th of the month yet payday is 30th so need to remember to log in and send payslips on the 29th. Takes a lot of time up.

AU Payroll: Hide zero balance leave types from Leave Balance report
Leave Balance Report - Updates need to be made to this report to make it more user friendly:
- exclude zero balances - there is no filter to exclude zero balances on a per employee or per leave type basis? once a leave type has been used in a payrun once it is forever on this report even if the balance is nil and no one in the organisation has a balance in this leave type?
- Include total in units column as well as amount column when sorted by employee or leave typeAnd while changes are being made....…

Payroll - Integrate with iCal
Be able to integrate the payroll calendar on Xero with iCal, so approved annual leave automatically appears in my iCal without having to duplicate entries, and updates if someone changes their leave on Xero.

NZ Payroll: Automate Sending Payment File to Bank
When payrun is done in Xero, the payroll payment file will be automatically sent to the bank (without authorisation). This could save the time of exporting payment files and import payment files to the bank.

AU Payroll - Flag when terminated employees are included in a draft pay run
Could we please have a flag for a terminated employee who has been paid in an unscheduled pay run (but included in the current pay run).
Xero continues to create a standard pay for the terminated employee despite the employee having been terminated.
If the employee was flagged as having been terminated it would prompt the processor to check and potentially eliminate the risk of overpayment.5 votes -
Payroll - Recognise and adjust pay rate based on Timesheets
Given that there is already a link between Pay Runs and Timesheets, it would be very helpful if the Pay run could recognise what days have time entered on the timesheet then it would recognise if an employee worked on a Public Holiday and then by default record 1.5 times and add the lieu day to alternative holidays.
This is something that my clients miss regularly as they expect Xero Payroll to do this for them.11 votes -
