  1. I’ve integrated Pabbly Connect with Xero to automatically create invoices. The workflow in Pabbly shows a successful execution, but not all invoices are actually being created in Xero.

    Has anyone else experienced this issue?
    Is there a way to debug what might be going wrong between the successful webhook execution and invoice creation in Xero?

    Additional Details:

    The webhook receives all required data including customer, line items, and invoice date.

    Pabbly workflow shows "Success" status after sending data to Xero.

    However, when I check Xero, some invoices are missing entirely.

    No error message is shown in Pabbly.

  2. I have been a customer for over 10 years.

    ☹️ You have taken away above feature in the Xero App which I rely on very heavily. I am bitterly disappointed about this. I need this back. Can you please reinstate it?

    Hi community, while we appreciate you raising this with us here I want to confirm that there are no plans to bring back the 'I want to be repaid' option in the Xero Accounting app. This option was connected to classic expenses which has been replaced by Xero Expenses where we have a separate app where employees can submit these expense claim type receipts through. If you're not familiar with Xero Expenses just yet, you can find more on this and how to get set up through Xero Central.

  3. I've always felt like your software was created by people who have never used the software themselves because some of the pathways and defaults just don't make sense. Note: I access Xero using the Chrome browser.
    Here are some changes that could be made that would really improve the user experience with Xero:

    1. When I'm entering bills, some date fields want me to enter the date like this: date/month/year and other times it wants me to enter it like this: month/date/year.  It's very frustrating having to switch back and forth randomly.

    Hi Jenna, we appreciate your feedback and the detail you've given is great. However, it's best that strange behaviour or performance issues are shared with our specialists at Xero Support who have tools to be able to investigate and escalated with our team if something isn't working as it should.

    There are a couple of your points I wanted to confirm here;

    • Bills to pay - you are able to set a default page for this. It sounds like it may currently be set to Paid bills in your org. You can set the default by clicking the 3 dots in the top right of the page where you'll see 'Default bill page' to select your preference
    • Default for bills due date - From the same place you can go to for invoice (Invoice settings) you can set a default Due date for your bills.

    I'd recommend raising a case…

  4. Please fix the Account setting for the Log in to preference so that it works as advertised.
    Currently the option to log in to "The organisation I was last in" does NOT work as advertised. It will log me in to a seeminly random organisation from the list of my organisations.
    I believe that it is logging me into the "Last organisation that ANYONE was in"

    Hi community, returning back to this idea and connecting with product we've found users in the same situation have often accessed Xero from a saved bookmark.

    If you're still running into the same and have saved a bookmarked URL to access Xero we'd recommend removing this, and going to my.xero.com, or login.xero.com to login to Xero.

    If the issue persists it's really best for our specialists at Xero Support to investigate further. You can reach them by raising a case through Xero Central.

  5. New Invoicing - bring back the 'save and continue adding' button in drafts, a feature classic invoicing offered. When completing invoices with multiple lines it is imperative that it you can save during input without having to save and close. Especially now that the new invoicing is unreliable.

    Hi Meradene, as new invoicing also encompasses auto save there is no need to manually save your invoice. Once you've added a Contact, as you move between fields of your invoice Xero will continuously save any data you've entered.

    It sounds like you may be having trouble with this though and if you're finding you're loosing information you've entered I'd really encourage reaching out to our specialists at Xero Support who can take a closer look to investigate what's going on for you.

  6. We have encountered an issue when printing purchase orders (PO) to PDF in Xero. Specifically, whenever the total amount of a PO is zero (0), the total column displays a random code instead of correctly showing "0".

    Hi Zachary, appreciate you sharing your feedback on how you'd find Xero even more powerful for your business.

    Being upfront we don't typically develop integrations ourselves. However we have a Developer Centre where interested parties can get information if they'd like to develop an integration with Xero.

    I'd recommend connecting with Nab bookKeeper to see if this is something they'd be interested in building and you're welcome to share the link above.

  8. Can we get a regular balance sheet in the Advisor (management) packs?

    For some reason it provides a summarised version, with statutory lines only (eg Fixed Assets, Trade debtors etc) but not the TB account by account.

    "More" even has an "Account codes" option, which doesn't work 😕

    Hi Yaakov, sorry we've not responded to your idea here sooner. Is it possible you have a customised layout applied to the Balance sheet? If you're still finding accounts that you'd expect to be shown not appearing in the Balance Sheet report of your Management report pack I'd recommend raising a case with our team of specialists via Xero Central where we can take a closer look into what's going on.

  9. Stop staff viewing salary information via the contact or the account code, this is a MASSIVE problem and is costing real money right now. I am sure we are not the only business for whom this is a huge problem!

    Hi Damien, we'll need a bit more information on your workflow to best understand your needs here, and this would be best raised with our support team directly as a start.

    It doesn't look like you've been in touch with our specialists at Xero Support yet, so I'd recommend raising a case with them through Xero Central where they'll be able to get more detail of your processes and if there's any recommendations they can make to help you to censor sensitive information from your staff.

  10. Xero Payroll restricts the payment date to no more than 90 days after the end of the payroll period. This isn't a legal or taxation limitation, but does restrict the occassions where clients are paying payroll in less regular intervals (such as paying their entire salary annually).

    Hi team, while we appreciate the request here,considering compliance requirements for payroll in AU we want to be upfront that we don't have plans for changing the ability to set the payment date beyond 90 days.

    For any employees that you may pay on an annual salary basis, we'd recommend setting the payment date 90 days before the employee's annual pay date.

  11. The Classic Invoicing allows .eml (downloaded emails) to drag and drop into invoices from downloads. The new invoicing DOES NOT allow this. Please reinstate this function to the new invoicing as it is an essential part of loading invoices (uploading (drag & drop) downloaded emails providing instructions and authorization evidence for auditors). Kelly, please confirm that this function will be continued in the new invoicing. Thank you.

  12. I have Integrated the Zoho Analytics with Xero through the Import Service in Zoho Analytics. But I am unable to fetch the Xero project module data, rest other modules data I received in Zoho Analytics.
    Please let me know how i can get the projects module data also. So I can create reports over Xero project module in Zoho Analytics , and can include this report in the dashboard which I have created in Zoho Analytics.

    Hi Stefano, we have an API ideas forum where these sort of integration requests are best suited. I'd recommend starting an idea for this across there where we have experts and a community that have the knowledge to review and keep you updated of any changes for this, there.

  15. Please give us the option to make Tracking Groups a mandatory selection on the Employee tab before Xero users can save a new employee. This will stop users from setting up new employees & forgetting to assign the Employee Group tracking group which results in misreporting

    Hi team, while we appreciate your feedback and why you'd like to make this field mandatory not all businesses use tracking for payroll. We want to be upfront that we don't have any plans for making the employee groups field mandatory.

    Hi Lukasz, what payment provider do you use? Just incase you haven't seen we've launched Tap to Pay powered by Stripe which is now available in a few different regions.

    In terms of connecting to direct payment terminals, this would typically be through an integration. We don't generally develop integrations with applications ourselves however you may want to see if there's an integration in the app marketplace that works with your provider and could offer the services you're after here.

  17. Please collaborate with Clockify to integrate Clockify time entries with Xero Projects.

  18. When syncing invoices from Joblogic to Xero, they post straight to approved status - can a feature be added so they can be posted to 'awaiting approval' to avoid dating errors on the invoices?

    Hi Parris, many of our applications have designed and built their integration with Xero themselves. They are best placed to engage with on any changes you feel could enhance your experience when integrating data from their application to Xero.

  19. Many of my clients complain that they 'can't find what they are looking for' when using the top search bar facility. I too often struggle to find things unless I am specific and know the exact detail of a posting. A search return of more options would be very beneficial listing all transactions in relation to any word or value typed into the search bar.

    Hi team, appreciate the continued engagement in the idea here, apologies I've not returned to update before now.

    I want to be upfront that we don't have any plans for changing the logic of search results in the near term. However, I felt it might help to explain how this is working at present to understand results you may be seeing - Global search considers several factors in deciding which results to display, and in what order. These factors include, but aren't limited to:

    • Document type – Document types searched most often get priority in the order of the search results. Contacts and invoices appear at the top of the results, as they’re the most popular search.
    • Term frequency – The frequency the term you search for appears in the document.

  20. Reinstate access to NZ Annual Report template for non-partner small business users. The NZ Annual Report template has been available to non-partner users for at least the last six years but has now been removed from the reporting templates available to non-partner users. For small businesses that prepare their own accounts the Annual Report template was very useful and time saving. Making it unavailable only has the effect of making us spend a heap of time re-building it outside of Xero or forcing us to waste money paying an accountant to do something Xero has previously enabled us to easily…

    Appreciate the use you found in the older Annual report pack, Antony. We want to be upfront that we don't have any plans in the near term for developing this same pack in the newer reports. However, right now you'll find you can use the Management report pack, where you'll be able to add reports as you need into this, alternatively you could create your own report pack from scratch(this is available from the Search in the reports centre).

    Understand not everyone feels the need to have an advisor but for others coming across that would like a bit more help with this sort of reports preparation you can find an advisor through the Xero advisor directory.
