  1. There is no functionality in Xero to 'automatically' send invoices from Xero to Xero via the network key. Is this something that you could look into?

    Hi team, appreciate the feedback here and it appears there are 2 differing ideas being bought up here. This idea was originally started relating to the invoice branding theme. Being open, while we will look at improvements to invoice templates down the line this isn't planned just yet.

    More recent conversation appears to be related to the new invoicing send modal and formatting of emails sent from Xero. We have a slightly different idea those who are interested in this can join and you'll see I recently updated - While the tool bar has been removed from the send window, you can still use html tags to format and preview how these look in your email.

  5. Quickbooks has "motion tracking" mileage, meaning the user doesn't have spent time entering their starting and final postcodes, they literally just turn the feature on and it auto records their mileage via GPS. I have clients (using Xero) who are on the road everyday for business purposes and this feature would be so useful for them to save time.

    Hi everyone, thank you for feeding back and sharing with us through the idea here. We appreciate why you'd like to see automated mileage tracking developed within Xero expenses.

    While our team have a keen eye on the idea and interest in exploring this in the future we want to be open that resources are across other important work atm and there are no plans to develop this, this year.

    We'll continue to track the interest and keep you updated of any change for this through the idea, here.

  6. Re Xero analytics - AI uses the previous 3 months data to project data. In seasonal industries like agriculture or tourism, that is irrelevant. It would be much more useful to base projections on the same period 12 months ago.

  7. Some larger companies with automated systems do not want reminders going to the same email address that the invoices go to. Doing this results in a duplicate invoice going into their system, which stops the payment going through as they then need to manually sort out what's going on. They have one email address for the invoice and another for reminders, to avoid that duplication.
    Currently, we need to leave the email address on the contact, then turn off invoice reminders and make a note to manually send reminders.

    Appreciate the interest shown on the idea here, everyone. Atm, we don't have any plans for adding a specific field for a Contact / Business Registered name. 

    While not a perfect solution as another user has shared, perhaps adding the name to the contact's address field could help surface this detail where required at present. 

    We'll continue to gauge interest in this, and share if there are any updates. 

  9. The ability to distinguish between invoices by reference and invoice number rather than client name which could be 100 different invoices under the same name.

  12. can you please add columns for customer account number and VAT number to invoice export data sheet? this should be a simple add as so much of the customer data already is there. it makes business analysis much better. it is far too cumbersome to track customer profitability otherwise.

  14. Ability to filter draft invoices by Contact Groups.
    We have a large number of customers who are moving toward shared accounting services (ie: centralised payment of our invoices). It would be great to be able to filter draft invoices by the Contact Group, or at the very least be able to see the contact group with the customer name on the draft invoice screen

  16. When developing a quote via Projects, we can add in an estimated cost and then enter a margin to give an estimated expense. However we cannot then retrospectively see what the original supplier cost is and therefore profit expected. Neither does it offer a field to enter who the supplier is. The Project financial reports have a header to show 'estimated cost' but it does not populate this field. The only time a cost is shown is if it is entered as an actual expense.

  17. Report similar to Approved_sentand_paid which shows receipts (Payments & credit) for a specified week and not including previous part payments in the Payment and credits collum. The report should match our banking / receipts for that specific week including part payments.

  18. When draft invoice/s are created via eInvoicing (Peppol network) will xero introduce the ability to call in/ match the invoice against a PO in xero (& subsequently mark the PO as billed)?
    Many of us are required to raise PO's for our purchases - so this would be a handy feature!
