  1. Xero has the facility to look up UK addresses by postcode when entering new contacts etc.

    Unfortunately it usually makes a such a mess of the address, I end up editing it all again anyway!

    • UK Postcode lookups can return a Company Name (e.g. if there are multiple companies registered at the same address.) Xero adds this company name again to the address. In our case, that is a duplicate of the Contact name, so we take that out to avoid it appearing twice.

    • UK Postal counties are obsolete and should no longer be used in postal addresses. Royal Mail…

  2. Similar to the ability to email bills into Xero, can we get the ability to email in invoices into Xero please?

  3. When downloading the individual payslip it would be nice if the PDF would say the persons name rather than the default filename of Payslip (1) etc
    Other payroll software such as Shape does this. Shame that Xero doesn't

  4. When creating a bill from a purchase order, it does not bring over the purchase order date. The date automatically changes to the date you are processing.
    Is there anyway you could keep the date.

  5. Broken down to location/ postal code with the total cost for a contact/supplier in any period is needed.
    I am aware 'the expenses by contact' gives you the total spend in a year but this doesn't filter down to location/ addresses or post code. At year end a key part of our process is reporting local suppliers for our social impact and purpose, we have to complete a time consuming exercise entering addresses/location manually line by line for key suppliers in excel.   6. A note of outstanding, unreconciled statement lines before completing a VAT return.

    Currently you click review and can see the VAT return; however, it would be useful to have a box that would flag if there any unreconciled transactions within the VAT period.

    This would help to ensure no transactions are missed when completing a VAT return.

  9. The option to show bills/expense in a Report on a Cash Basis. So show paid bills only not all bills,
    as per the Detailed Transaction Report if Xero. We need this option to show current expenses per project. The Detailed Transaction Report only shows this if you assign a Project through Tracking.

Having recently started using advanced templates for our invoices, I've discovered that credits applied to invoices don't show separately and instead get added with payments, thus showing as net payments. I believe the credits field is only available for use on advanced statement templates so can the credits field be made available for adcvanced invoice templates please?

    That would then give us the ability to display the total amount credited on an invoice and the total paid towards it on separate lines.

  11. Hi, I'm wondering if there is a method to generate a customer statement balance report with multiple currencies (including a contact filter) and export it in Excel spreadsheet.

    I've attempted a few approaches previously:
    Using the path: 1) Business->Invoice -> Send statements. However, this only displays the source currency and doesn't offer an Excel export option.

    2) Accounting -> Report -> Account transactions
    While this displays transactions in multiple currencies, it doesn't provide the option to show the balance brought forward from the previous month.

  14. The Net functional (for us GBP) column in the Account Transaction Report does not function correctly if we are considering the full GL.
    Whether it shows a Debit or Credit as plus or minus depends on the type of account.
    For example, an accrual Jnl posts Debit Expense/Credit Liabilities but both show as Positive in the Net column.

    We run the full GL to conduct our analysis and we re-calculate this column every time.
    Then we can confirm that the list balances as the total of the double-entries should be nil.

  15. Add the ability to extract data from scanned receipts in the Xero Expense web app.

    At the moment, both the mobile app and HubDoc can automatically scan receipts and extract data (date, amount, payee, etc). This doesn't work in the web app and Hubdoc cannot send documents to the Expense app.

  17. Would it be possible to have the ability to search on a customers account for individual products that have been previously sold to them? We have customers that purchase various products from us and sometimes it will be months between each purchase. I have to open every invoice to see if the item is on there. Even if there was an update on the Products & Services page to list the products sold to each customer, I think it would help.

    Currently there are a couple of options for some here such as using Smart Lists to run a search to view all customers that have bought a certain item within a period.  

    Alternatively, you can run Inventory Item Details or Receivable Invoice Details reports could be useful where you can filter by a specific contact, item and/or description to understand what items and quantities of those items that have been bought by a contact with the in the timeframe of the report. 

    However if you'd like to see this option direct within the contact record, add your support to the idea here and we'll get a better sense of overall interest. 🙂

  18. In Xero Cash Coding or Transaction coding interface, provide a feature to allow pasting of data (copied for spreadsheet multiple row and columns) into Xero entry tables.

  19. Ability : To have a function within contact to block raising purchase orders to an individual supplier.

    Purpose: To ensure no future orders are placed with suppliers, who we may have had issues with previously. Easier to have a function that would automatically flag this, as opposed to placing note within contact and relying on all to find this information.
