Reporting - Option to add account numbers & zero balances to financial statements
Ability to have to have a check box for "Include Account Numbers" and "Include or Omit Zero balances".
Purpose: Because it demonstrates completeness to show that the balance actually is zero

This is fundamental to ensuring consistency.

If all GL accounts can be exported it can easily imported into my excel template without much manipulations for reporting and checking.

1. I want a Trial Balance with $0.00 balances.
2. Cannot get this functionality.
3. Contact Xero support. Xero support advises functionality not in Xero.
4. Xero support refers me to Xero Product Ideas.
This process drives a truck through my productivity. Thanks Xero -

It would be so useful to be able to run a Trial Balance that includes all accounts, including those with a zero balance.
I thought it used to be possible in Xero maybe I'm mistaken?
Most accounts systems give that option and it can't be hard to do.
Please.....

I want to run budget variance reports across multiple tracking codes (separate tabs) that feed into a consolidated sheet - all in Excel. Not having zero balances means a lot of extra time spent correcting for new lines each month. It's a huge time waster which would be fixed by having all lines each month so that cell references never change.

I absolutely agree that accounts with zero balances should still be reportable. I believe this is a major short coming, particularly for balance sheet accounts. There should be a filter or option to allow this setting to be chosen.
I thought something major was wrong when not all my bank accounts were listed on the balance sheet report!
Some reports already have the option to include account codes. -

I need the option to show contacts that have a zero balance, in an Aged Receivables report filtered by contact group.
It would clearly indicate to the recipient of the report that all contacts that should be on the report, are on the report.

Should be a basic function to have the option ot show zero balances

For anyone doing serious reporting outside of Xero this requirement is a necessity. It absolutely staggers me that Xero has not addressed this issue considering how long users have been asking for it. Just get it done Xero, it can't be that hard to fix it.

this is critical. if a balance sheet account has had any activity, even if the current balance is $0, then it should show the balance as $0.

We have a budget outside of Xero becuase of 13 periods and it would be very useful to be able to copy paste the P&L values across when needed. At the moment we have to manually type the values as there is no option to include zero balances.

Why hasn't this been addressed? MYOB has this option, come on Xero the time we spent lining reports up because of this is so frustrating.

Needed for Public Benefit Entity as one of the Charities reporting requirements to show certain items even if they have not had any expenses in this category for the last couple of years.

Hugely frustrating that this is not an option. I guess since the original request is from 2014 that it is unlikely to happen.

Please have a tick box to include or omit zero values. When combining different entities or just period to period, having a different number of lines depending on the activity is frustrating. Plus, I'm consolidating more than 1 entity, so this is double frustrating. Balance sheet & P&L please.

100% agree to have the option to show zero balances. When I looked at a Balance sheet recently, one of our accounts was zero but my first thoughts were that it was missing. Also I share this report with board members. They asked about the missing account from the report. Thanks
