  1. It would be great if we could use Collaboration Manager to assign emails directly to the Client, rather than a Job or a Quote. These emails would then be automatically stored under the Notes tab in the Clients screen.

  2. Enable reporting / export for the 'Fee from Refund' field under Tax under the Tax and Company section in clients.

    The other fields in the ax and Company section are available in the Client & Contact Report Builder, however this field is overlooked. I understand that there is a 3rd party request to have this field included in the Client API.

  3. In the U.S. Xero is one of the top accounting software companies. Its biggest competitor Quickbooks has several Intuit tax software products that integrate with each other. I would like to Xero launch Xero Tax in the near future as Intuit products aren’t as innovative, robust and user friendly. Glad to see this is available in other markets but would love to see it roll out here in the states

  4. There are three documents that we are often chasing clients for as accountants in order to do accounts or self assessments -
    - Loan statements which show the year-end balances and the interest amounts (for example on the bounce-back loans).
    - Bank statements which show the year-end balance to check the accounting software pulled in all the data correctly.
    - Mortgage Interest statements (for self-employed clients who work from home or landlords on their self-assessments).

  5. Rename "other name" field to "middle name/s", need another field for casual name (say for example people that go by their middle name) and also put first name or casual name on contact details screen that is shown on front screen, currently showing other name for some reason...

  6. Generated GST and PST bills should generate the date of the end of the period reported. January to March reporting should generate a report with the date of March 31, 2024 and not the date of that the bill is generated.

  7. This would help a lot!

    What :Can the notes section be made available to view from Contacts tab .
    Why : You have to click on files to see it
    How: If it is there I can see if I have to watch out for anything specific ..i.e rate change or new bank details

    Hi Andy, do you know about the separate notes feature in the Contact details rather than History & Notes? You can add notes about your contact that will be displayed on Contact details tab of a Contact record. Appreciate still maybe not as efficient as you'd like ti to be but maybe a little more prominent and save a click 🙂

  9. We need a transaction list for all contact where the unapplied payment amount reflects. It is very difficult to compare our Xero statement with transaction list from a supplier (or debtor for that matter) if you have to export the Xero report on the contact to be able to add up all applied payments and then only be able to compare statements.
    The Contact summary Report should have the option of seeing the report with applied payments or show the payment amount as it came (or was paid out) to suppliers / customers.

    Hi Elmie, just trying to understand your idea here a little better - when you mention 'unapplied payment amount' would this be an amount that's been paid by your customer but hasn't yet been applied to the invoice, or the outstanding amount of an invoice once payment has been applied ?

  10. It would be incredibly helpful for us to be able to view the notes on a profile when you view it at group level.

    Currently we don’t use this feature because when a note applies to a whole group (which it often does), how do you know what entity or individual within the group to record the note against.

    Creating the view to see all notes for a group it won’t matter so much where the employee decided to leave that note.

  12. Currently the report's filters only available to filter thing that " contain " in the respective categories. Can you please also include the option "do not contain" - so that we could produce report to omit things that we would not wish to include. Thank you

  15. I would like to set an 'auto archive' rule at a supplier level. This would be useful for expense which have a bank rule set up in Xero. Eg Xero subscription bills, other subscription invoices.

  16. We currently integrate with a range of practice management software, and have a recurring request from customers using XPM to have us add notes to client records when certain actions are taken.

    Currently, adding or updating notes is not possible via the API, however documents can be managed via the API. Client notes are useful as they allow important communications with a client to be logged against that client for future reference.

  17. It would be great to be able to set up Security Groups with permissions set for each group, which is then applied to each staff member by adding the Staff to that Security Group.

    This way, if a permission needs to be changed for a group of Staff, it can be done at the security group level rather than having to click into each Staff member and edit their individual permissions - which can create inconsistencies and easily miss settings when dealing with a large number of Staff.

  18. Improve the way clients can create accounts and log into an existing xero account.

    If we create an account for them, it asks them to put in their organisation details. Then we invite the client into the organisation, they have to accept the invitation.

    Clients are always having issues with their log ins, and signing documents. Feel this could be made easier for them.

  19. As a dedicated Xero partner, I've been leveraging the capabilities of the XPM Suite in conjunction with Seamlss to manage and streamline my operations. While the current integration offers a range of functionalities, I've observed that the existing API limitations are hindering our efficiency.

    One of the most pressing concerns is the manual transfer of sensitive client data, especially Bank Details. My administrative team often finds themselves in the tedious and risky position of copying and pasting this critical information due to the API constraints. This not only consumes valuable time but also poses potential security risks.

  20. It would be good when printing the WIP ledger for unbilled clients to have the option to print each client separately. i dont want to have to individually tick my clients just to get there report on a single page.
