  1. Can we dumb it down for our clients when it comes to selecting the account code. When creating an invoice or a purchase bill we should not be able to code it to Accounts Receivable or Accounts Payable. When posting directly to Xero it gives you an error but when someone is posting to BILL or QuickBooks it continues to let it go through. Then when BILL syncs with Xero it causes a syncing error. This is also an issue with the bank accounts being select as the account code. Why can we just remove bank accounts, AR and AP…

  2. I wanted to put a suggestion that when hubdoc is getting the totals, that they get the correct total and maybe even a prompt when it is unsure of the subtotal and total. I have had a few issues come up where hubdoc is bringing in the incorrect total.

  3. User & Approval - Having a user that can upload documents & code them. Save the changes but not publish to Xero. Bookkeeper can then check the coding is correct before publishing to Xero or having a approval process where the document is sent to be approved before publishing to Xero, and this would work for purchase orders, invoices & receipts

  4. Hubdoc App. Can we have the ability to hide archived documents. Or create a separate tab similar to the web version. Another option is to make archived documents dim so clients are aware that the documents are processed and are in Xero.

  6. In the UK most agent management statements show both the rental income and the cost of sales for their fees, and any expenses incurred on behalf of the landlord.

  7. Simplified view of outstanding receipts that need to be processed to the accounting software ie numbers reflected in the top tabs.
    Currently it is hard to get a quick view of what needs to be accomplished in hubdoc and what has already been done.

  8. When creating a new contact in Hubdoc for Xero, it would be great if there was an option to add the contact details (address, phone, email, tax ID, bank details, etc) right then. Hubdoc could read the information from the invoice and populate it on the spot rather than my having to remember who I added on the fly, go find the information again, and then manually type it all in myself.

  9. I have 19 rental properties with 19 separate AT&T internet bills monthly. There needs to be a method within Hubdoc to automate publishing each receipt to a uniqueTracking Category each month. Right now it is all manual and very time consuming.

  10. At the moment Hubdoc extracts supplier name only which makes it tricky to use for processing sales invoices as the customer has to be manually selected and has no default settings. If Hubdoc could also extract customer name, it would really help with AR processing.

  12. I like how Hubdoc separates the data extraction to "Transaction Details" such as Supplier, Amount and Date. from "Destination Details" Such as Account code and contact..

    We use Tags on the app to create Folders in hubdoc that organise team Expenses & Budgets.

    It would be good to be able to set additional Folder/Tag settings in hubdoc that could over ride the Global Supplier settings in hubdoc when a tag is added.

    Allowing for the Suppler to remain the same but the contact, Tax rate, account and tracking categories to be applied from the Tag/Folder settings.

  13. It would be good if I could setup a google drive file/directory where we can drop invoices into it and they are automatically uploaded to Hubdoc. Other products do this but I would like to fully migrate

  14. Search Receipts for tracking code. Tracking code is usually an address/ location/ or some key word about a product line. The list is known for each customer. Why can't the AI check for words matching the tracking code list and suggest the correct one.

    Competitors can do this and have gone as far as blogging about the ML methods to do this.

  15. We are starting to utilise the Xero email function to push PDF attachments through to files, to then either raise a bill or spend money.

    For ease could it be possible to show the number of documents that need attention ie. Files (8) when we drop down on the client name?

  17. When you use the cog in Hubdoc to update supplier information e.g. payment terms it use to being up the supplier, but it has recently stopped doing this. Now you have to search for the supplier to update and this takes time and is frustrating, especially as you use to be able to do this. Please put back this facility.

  18. When entering line items it would be useful to have a way to default the tax settings - default the GST rate, & default the inclusive/exclusive setting. Would save time on the majority of tasks and need changing on a few

  19. In the Hubdoc app, to add a tag/tracking category requires opening to a new screen, selecting the tag, then going back to the original screen to Save the tag.
    1. Can we have the Tags available to select on the first screen as soon as we add the image;
    2. Can we have tags autosaving;
    3. Failing that, add a Save button on the Tags screen so we don't need to go through three screens just to add a tag?

    Hi Vicki, while Xero acquired Hubdoc, these are still two quite separate products. We don't have any plans for renaming tags in Hubdoc, or vice versa for Tracking in Xero. We'll get a sense of the interest for this here, however I do want just want to be open from the get go that this isn't in our plans.
