Disappointed to not hear anything about this today at the Roadshow. It's something we've been told has been in the works for some time, but haven't heard an update in a while.

We have the ability to re-use contacts for new entities being added to XPM, but we need an efficient way to merge our pre-existing contacts. It is crucial to using integrations such as CAS360 and Class as more duplicates are coming through when enabling these plugins.

Any update on this would be appreciated - thanks Xero.

This makes total sense and would save so much time!

Very important, especially for firms that have recently come across to XPM from other software and are facing a mammoth clean up task that must be done manually!

I have been asked to clean up our contacts as we have so many duplicates with separate ID numbers. Has a solution been presented? Thanks

Would love this option as we have had duplicate contacts created with certain details allocated to 1 contact and not the other. Merging them would speed the process of having to copy the data across and achieving.

Would be very useful as a clean-up mechanism. Not to mention the ability to select an existing client to use as a contact to avoid the need to manually enter details we already have in the client database to the contacts database.

When the reusable contacts was implemented Xero advised there would be a tool released to merge the existing duplicates. When is this likely to be released?

This would be incredibly useful, and I'm amazed it's not a basic bit of functionality.

We have over 2000 separate instances of contacts in XPM, many of which are duplicates. I estimate less than 500 once we are able to merge them - the project to do this manually is huge!!!!!

I am really pleased that Xero has created reusable contacts in XPM and support this product idea request for a way to merge the multiple duplicate contacts that I, and I am sure many other users, now have in XPM.
