Ability to use Biometrics when Logging into Hubdoc app
Ability to use Biometrics when Logging into Hubdoc app. It's great to add receipts and invoices on the go using the Hubdoc app, but manually typing in the credentials to log in slows down the process. It would be great if you could use the phone's facial recognition or fingerprint to quickly log in.

I recently got myself organised and have been much more determined not to let my accounts become a mess again. I’ve learned the ins and outs of Hubdoc on desktop — it’s a little clunky, but overall a useful tool to have in the kit.
So I moved on to trying to stay disciplined with uploading receipts (for example, for fuel) into Hubdoc on the go, to help streamline things with Xero. Once I’m logged in, the mobile app works really well — it’s simple, fast, and honestly, I don’t need it to do anything more than it already does.
But why is it so quick to forget that I’ve signed in — even when I’ve selected that my phone is a trusted device?
This is a phone that’s already protected with Face ID, a PIN code, remote lock and wipe capabilities, and “Find My” tracking. And yet, nearly every time I open Hubdoc, I’m asked for my username and password (which are autofilled anyway), then asked whether I trust the device again, and finally forced to go through two-factor authentication — from another app on the same phone.
That adds no real security benefit, just friction and delay.
It’s frustrating when the Xero app already handles this perfectly with Face ID. If Xero and Hubdoc are meant to be part of an integrated ecosystem, it would be great if the mobile experience could reflect the same standards of usability and trust — especially for people working solo on secure personal devices.

Possibly having the ability to use whatever biometrics are set up on your device would be better? I don't have FaceID set up, because I can open my mother's phone (and that's a security risk with regards to client data), but I do have fingerprint log in set up.

It would be great to be able to enable FACE Id to open the Hubdoc app. Currently you have to enter your user id, then password then authenticator code which is way too cumbersome for use whilst out and about. Being able to quickly add a photo on the run is essential to ensuring accurate records are being maintained. Currently it is really annoying to have to go through that lengthy log-in process and as a result we are finding that receipts are reqularly lost because they are set aside to enter at a later time when not on the move.

As a remote bookkeeper with clients in remote areas / farming, telstra internet can be slow causing the Authenticator to time out regularly before being able to log in. It is extremely frustrating & time consuming for my clients. Face or thumb print log in would be so beneficial to the majority of my clients

Agree entirely! The convenience of on-the-go receipt capture is completely eroded by hubdoc continually loghing itself out. In contrast DEXT does not do this, it remains open always. Presumably relying on face id to authenticate the user??

I echo the same as Ryan. It is a pain to log on to Hubdoc without this. Two factor authenticator is just so inconvenient.
This is not a major development and you don't have to invent the wheel as most oof the apps now have got this feature. Please give some priority as this impacts day to day life., Thanks

I am uploading to hubdoc constantly on the go and its totally frustrating that you have to first to log in with email, then password then get authentication code which sometimes runs out of seconds so you have to go back. If one can get into your bank account using facial recognition surely this could extend to hubdoc and xero
