  2. The Chart of Accounts interface within the client's Xero organisation displays a limitation of 200 accounts per page. This necessitates frequent clicks of the 'Next' button, which can be inefficient. It is believed that the Xero Product Team could enhance this feature to allow the display of an unlimited number of accounts on a single page, mirroring the functionality currently available in the Chart of Accounts template within Xero HQ.

    Thanks for sharing in the community here. While we appreciate there are some organisation's that have a large number of accounts, the current 200 limit per page is sufficient for majority of organisations to see their full list of accounts and we don't have plans for extending this.

  3. Extend the information in Xero HQ to include full client data.
    Information that would be good to see on each client information schedule would be;

    a. VAT registration date, this is required for security with HRMC so needs to be in one place when contacting them.
    b. VAT quarters (We do have clients that don’t use xero and this information is important)
    c. PAYE registration details (Not all clients use Xero payroll and equally flicking between various clients bookkeeping systems when on the phone to HMRC is a bit irritating!)
    d. UTR details for companies
    e. Tax district for Both…

  4. Not date of service on invoice? Not sure why such a fundamental column is missing? For a business that invoices monthly it’s a necessity to date each line for jobs completed in that month?

  5. 24 HOUR LOCK WHEN CERTIFICATION TEST "FAILS" NEEDS REMOVED IMMEDIATELY.

    We have a trainee going through his Xero certification. He timed out the first test. He is now locked out for 24 hours.

    We can't have him spending weeks doing this.

  6. It would be useful to have set Staff Teams appear under the 'Filters' list when adding new users to a client.

    We have our internal teams set up as Staff Teams in our practice, and it would speed up allocating access if we could filter the list of staff via these teams.

  7. As a bookkeeper i have noticed that some clients have multiple bank accounts. Can you make the search function include all the bank accounts for that particular client? That way its easier and more effective to find the amount we are searching for.

  8. For text blocks, particularly in the Annual Financial Statements, would it be possible to add a text alignment option (left, centre, right, or justify)? My main request is for the ‘justify’ function, as it makes the reports appear neater and more professional.

  9. For the Annual Financial Statements, it may be useful to include the entity’s registration number directly beneath the entity’s name in brackets — for example:

    The New Company (Pty) Ltd
    (2025/######/07).

    This can be applied on both the cover page and in the header for consistency

  11. Client Merge popup box needs to be expandable. It wants me to select which client that will merge into from the other (which is irreversible) but I can't expand the popup screen or hover over the fields to see what is written in full to know which one to select.

  12. It would be great to have a feature that allows users to group clients within their HQ (or the main dashboard) in a way that only selected users with specific permissions can access certain client groups. This would provide more granular control over who can see and manage specific clients, making it easier to manage access for teams working on different client accounts.

    This would be especially helpful for firms with multiple teams handling different types of clients (e.g., accounting, payroll, etc.), ensuring that only relevant team members can view and work on certain client groups.

    Hi Rumyana, this is a thoughtful idea, and we can see how having more control over who can access specific client groups in Xero HQ would be useful, especially for firms with different teams handling various services like payroll, BAS, or advisory work.

    The idea has been reviewed and is now gaining support, which means it’s open for others to vote and share how this would help in their practice. As support builds, it helps give the product team a clearer view of the need across different types of firms.

    If there are particular scenarios or workflows where restricted access would make a difference for your team, feel free to add those as a comment. The more context we can gather, the better positioned the team is to understand the real-world impact.

  13. Document Pack - Allow time delay.
    For example I want to finish the work now but dont want it sent to the client for another 2 days so can set a time to be sent out.

    We can see how having more control over when document packs are sent would be useful in managing your client communications more effectively. While this idea is still new, it’s been reviewed by our community team and is now marked as Gaining Support.

  14. It would be good if you could scroll up past 2015 when adding a date on the relationships tab. Rather than having to press it, then reopen it to open up the next bit.

    Hi Francisca, thanks so much for submitting this idea — we really appreciate your feedback!

    We understand how much smoother data entry would be with a more user-friendly date picker when entering historical dates in the Relationships tab in Xero HQ. Being able to quickly scroll or jump through years would save you time and make the process much easier.

    Right now, the date picker requires multiple clicks to go back several years, which can slow things down. Your suggestion for an improved, intuitive date selector would make a big difference to your workflow.

    This idea is currently in the Gaining Support stage. If this feature would help you, please consider voting and sharing your thoughts . Your support really helps us prioritise it with the product team.

  15. It would be good to be able to run a report of all Xero clients that have unfiled STP, or be able to view at a glance on XeroHQ. This would assist in making sure clients are meeting their compliance obligations quickly rather than go into every client to look at the Payroll Overview.

  16. We now have a single client record with HQ & XPM but it still does not pull through the client partner & manager from XPM and allow us to filter this way.

    We would find this feature very helpful when bulk updating client access for our team members when they start or depart.

    We also need to be able to export reports from HQ on the filters we apply. Currently even if a filter is applied the export includes all clients and columns and not what is in the filter display.

    How about providing a TOTAL for the entire client list or filtered list, so that you can see how each client compares to the selected "community" of clients

  20. It would be great if ALL users (ie practice staff) in Xero HQ could see all Xero files. It should be obvious on the list which are accessible and which are not (ie if you didn't have access, the Xero org name could be greyed out)

    In terms of access, if a particular staff member did not have access to a Xero file, they should be able to request access from a HQ Administrator (with mange user access of course) which can be granted easily. Would be handy to have a 'Why' comment field so the approver knows the context…
